They were kind enough to offer a free upgrade on our arrival. It is 30 mins from the airport and it close to the main center. We stayed for one night and it was a plesant stay. We requested early check in and they were accomodative to our request. Thank you

This was our second time staying at a Ramada property, the first being just slightly about a month ago at Busan. The Ramada by Wyndham Bangkok Sukhumvit 11 as it name implies, is located at, well, Sukhumvit Soi 11. It is a very short walk from the Nana BTS station. However, depending on which way you walk, don't be surprised if you miss the hotel completely. If you take the side lane which is a little further away, you can see the hotel clearly. The entrance to the lobby was placed in one of those blink-and-you-miss kind of position. We thought it was the entrance to the carpark, to be honest. The hotel lobby was tight and compact, and the staff were quick to assist. Checking in procedures were done, but as we arrived early, our rooms were not ready. Not a problem since the ever buzzing Sukhumvit Road offers a plethora of food and drink options. There's even a small Korean town nearby. Anyway, we were able to check in after lunch. Since there were 4 of us, we booked two rooms. Rather unfortunately, each room was given only one keycard, not two like what other hotels do. When we enquired if we could have another keycard, we were told to pay 500 baht for each card. This rather parsimonious decision of the hotel meant that we cannot have one tired person resting in the room, whilst the other more energetic one goes out and about exploring in the later hours. It is all-or-nothing, and the hotel management will do well to review such an unfeasible policy. The saving grace were the rooms, which were spacious and well laid-out. We were able to open both our luggage trolleys without getting in each other's way. There was also plenty of cupboard space to store our shopping. The beds were quite comfortable to lie on. The bathroom is compact, and, just like Busan, it was a standing shower. The difference was, this Ramada gave out toiletries for guests, whilst you had to buy it from the vending machine at the Busan one. The complimentary drinking water were in glass bottles instead of plastic ones, which mean you cannot take it out on the road. The seventh floor is where you can find the breakfast lounge, the gym and the swimming pool. If you intend to do a simple workout, then the gym equipment would suffice, ie, treadmills and free weights. The hotel pool is small and depth is until waist level. Its more for a dip than actually having a proper swim. The breakfast lounge was cosy, and tables were spaced out appropriately. Breakfast items consist of the usual bread, scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, fried bacon, sausages, ham, salad bar, fruit bar and a selection of Asian items like rice, noodles and vegetables. You can place your order for omlette with the crew, and they'll take it to the kitchen to have it done. The only downside we encountered was the lounge did not replenish the tea bags after the first batch ran out, rather quickly, I must say, because from the breakfast crowd, this hotel seems to be a very popular choice. Overall, despite the little kinks, we enjoyed our stay at the Ramada by Wyndham Bangkok Sukhumvit 11 for this weekend jaunt to Bangkok. The hotel's prime location, together with the spacious room and comfortable beds was good value for money.
