My wife and I have just stayed at the Pullman Bangkok G for 7 nights. We had access to the Executive Lounge which we feel was Excellent. It included an a la carte menu breakfast, afternoon tea/snacks and evening drinks (beer, wine, cocktails) along with plenty of nibbles. The staff and food on offer exceeded our expectations. The room we had was 2704 which was on this Executive Floor, about 4 rooms near to the lifts and entry to the Lounge. The room was spacious and had wonderful views of the city line hotels with floor to ceiling windows. The bathroom consisted of a large bath and large shower which had amazingly high pressure considering we were on the 27th floor. At night it was a treat to see the bright lights of Bangkok which shine on all night. There is a small swimming pool area for guests near the Gym on the 5th floor. The “G Spa” had wonderful massages on the 4th floor. A high class viewing bar on the 37th floor named Scarlett Wine Bar and Restaurant (Michelin-recommended rooftop bar and French restaurant). This had unbelievable views of ALL of Bangkok, especially enchanting at night. The staff at this hotel were exceptional …especially in the Executive Lounge. Rainy (who was a supervisor) was a standout and was always groomed beautifully and was outstanding in her leadership and service. She seemed to be working all the time and was continually seen serving customers with an infectious smile and graciousness. She was so attentive that we ALWAYS felt we were VERY SPECIAL when she was on duty. Also HIGH acknowledgement should go to Pink, Nokyoong, Pleng, My, Thammy, Henry,and Lin. There wasn’t an occasion that we entered this lounge that the staff seemed to go “Above and Beyond” !! We met the General Manager Michelle Lee and were fortunate to have her talk to us for a while. What an extraordinarily experienced woman she is. She has vast knowledge and understanding of customer needs and is warm, considerate and engaging. Obviously she has trained the staff here to her HIGH standard, as they are so very attentive IN EVERY AREA. One little BUT important observation for us was the staff Grooming. They all had uniforms and proudly wore them along with their personal presentation which was excellent. They may have been trained this way by GM Michelle as her grooming and attention was extremely HIGH. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Pullman Bangkok G and will definitely return. Sincere THANKS to ALL who made our stay so memorable.

Excellent, all-round. Most outstanding was the service received by Ms. Chompoou and Ms. Pleng when checking in and following up across the 6 nights. Due to them, I extended from 1 night to 6 nights. Ms. Thong, thank you for your care everyday at breakfast.

I had a genuinely wonderful time at the Pullman Hotel G Bangkok, after less than stellar first impressions. Don’t be put off by the air conditioning not reaching the lifts or the hallways, or the rooms that that could use a bit of an update (think a bit of peeling paint or a dodgy side table power socket) - everything else I experienced at the Pullman G was above and beyond. Specifically, the service. Part of that is just Thai customer service and hospitality, but I had some exceptional moments at this hotel - a staff member in the Executive Lounge who coordinated a chat with me and another solo traveller and discussed her recommendations for doing the floating markets without a tour group; a concierge team member who put together a seamless transfer to a very tricky location for me after another cancelled and gave me regular updates on timing and pricing. But every area of the hotel blew me away in terms of service - front desk, housekeeping, room service, pool bar, executive lounge, even the staff at the burger restaurant downstairs were wonderful. I also found the location to be perfect. It isn’t quite right in the centre of the action, but I think that might be better - if you want to step out into hustle and bustle of Sukhumvit or Khaosan Rd, be my guest, but I welcomed the serenity this afforded me. It was about 15 minutes walk to the real centre of Silom - think the madness of Patpong Night Market - so it was an easy walk for exploration and there was plenty of fascinating stuff about like funky rooftop bars (including the one atop the hotel itself which has an excellent view) and dive bars and live music. Cabs are easy and frequent if you don’t fancy using Grab or Bolt, and you’re also only 10 minutes walk from Chong Nonsi BTS, located right at King Power Mahanakorn, and on the same line as National Stadium BTS which is where you can find the wild and wacky MBK Centre and malls galore along with the Bangkok Art and Cultural Centre, where I could have spent days. My only real note is on internet - I feel like it’s pretty unacceptable in 2024 to not have proper wifi available in the rooms, and it meant that the lobby and lounge were always crowded as people tried to do their work. I had an eSIM, but I feel like a good wifi connection should be a must-have in today’s age.

“An old 5 star hotel in need of an upgrade”

I think the lobby sums up this hotel, you have to struggle through cars to get to the entrance only to be greeted by old and drab. But the hotel has its highlights, the staff are fabulous despite this. The hotel has a good gym and a nice although small pool . One thing the hotel lacks is any sort of Thai identity, it could be anywhere. The breakfast is served in an Italian themed restaurant with only one or two Thai dishes on offer . We were on the club floor, fabulous staff again, our room had a newly renovated bathroom and wasn't in bad shape. Our friends stayed on a lower floor, where the old room, with it's dark timbers were renovated using a spray gun of white paint everywhere including the floor .
