We arrived after a two hour taxi ride from the airport, tired and hungry. We were able to book room service and settle into our room. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a corner room with a lovely large bath. The Bed was very comfortable, and room was very clean. The reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly, and helped us book a massage at the local Heathland, and called us a taxi. The buffet breakfast was all we could ask for, and more. I would stay here again. The only thing that was a disappointment was the pool. The promo photos show it at night with city lights on the water, but in the daylight, the pool surround was rough cement, and a few lounge chairs. Every table had an ashtray on it, as non-smokers was off-putting. As much as we love to use the pool, we declined to use this one. Overall, a great experience

“Family visit to Bangkok”

Great three night stay here and especially appreciated that they let us check in to our two rooms at 10am after an overnight flight. Rooms were comfortable, great location, good pool and variety of foods at breakfast. Thank you to Nam for the early check in

I booked a 2 night stay at this hotel and was amazed at the price! I paid just 5,775.71 THB for 2 nights for the larger corner room including breakfast, which is about 2,887 per night and about $79 or £63. For reference, I am a Premium Tier member of the Radisson Rewards loyalty programme. There are 2 types of rooms to choose from. I chose the ‘slightly’ more expensive room as this was a corner room which would reduce the noise from other rooms (doors banging, etc) and offered slightly more space. You can take a look on YouTube at love flying and hotels. My room was on the 5th floor – room 501. The hotel has 15 floors, 95 rooms, 1 restaurant and bar, 1 swimming pool, a small fitness centre and no spa. On arrival, I was greeted by Meow along with the bellman, Nui, outside. They were so friendly and welcoming. Actually, I was short 100 THB to pay for the taxi, Meow gave me the 100 THB and I paid her back (with a tip later). This was very sweet! The room itself is nicely laid out and a good size, as was the bathroom. The bathroom comprised of a bathtub, separate shower cubicle, sink and toilet. Amenities were also provided! The bedroom consisted of a king sized bed, work table, chair, flat screen TV with cable channels and a sofa. There was also a safety deposit box for your valuables. I found the bed to be comfortable and the shower was also decent. However, the air conditioning unit was the old style. It was very noisy and the temperature setting did not work. Luckily it was set to a pretty cool temperature but if left on for too long, then the room would become very cold. This combined with the noise level made sleeping difficult as I would switch it off after a while due to both the room being too cold and the noise. Within no time at all, the room would be the opposite, boiling and so I would have to switch it back on, and then again later, off and on, and so on… The breakfast spread is decent. This is not a 5 star hotel so you don’t expect a huge variety. It had everything you need, enough choice even if you have dietary needs. However, the service was amazing. I was greeted and served by Nuch who was so kind. She explained all the food options to me (as I am 99% blind) and then served me at my table. She also came to check on me regularly to see if I am ok or needed anything else. She was outstanding! The same restaurant also serves lunch and dinner and is pretty good. They also have some promotions on drinks! At check in, I had also received a coupon giving me 20% off food! The swimming pool is located on the rooftop of the 15th floor. Once you exit the elevator (lift) you will need to climb up near 2 dozen steps which are quite steep! Once at the top, you will see the small fitness centre and swimming pool. The pool itself looks nice and the seating around it. You can also order food and drinks here by using the phone found in the fitness centre and the restaurant will then send it up. The location is also fantastic! You are about a 2 minute walk to Benjakitti Park! This is a magical park, excellent for walking and running and is so peaceful! It now also connects to the forest park, which in turn connects to Lumpini Park! You are also about 5 minutes walk to Asok BTS (Skytrain) station, Sukhumvit MRT station (Metro/Underground), the nightlife area such as Soi Cowboy and Terminal 21 shopping centre Overall, the hotel is excellent value for money and if you are on a budget but want a decent hotel in the heart of the action, then this is worth considering! However, for me, sadly, this will be it unless they renovate and improve the air conditioning units. I got 0 (zero) sleep as I was having to switch it on and off. Having just come off a long flight from London and not getting any rest, I was glad to check out and move to the next hotel which was also Park Plaza on Soi 18.
