“Perfect place to enjoy the city”

My partner and I stayed at the Oriental residences just before Christmas, the hotel was immaculate, the facilities were excellent and the location is great too. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable and had a spectacular view that really made our trip. In addition, the staff were really friendly and helpful. I'd like to give a special mention to our concierge, Wat, as he really went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our time in this beautiful city, he gave us excellent recommendations and was responsive even on his day off. I will be recommending this place to anyone visiting Bangkok. Thank you so much Wat and team!

“Quiet location in Bangkok with a wonderful staff”

This was our first of 4 hotels over a 14 day stay in Thailand and served us well to kick off our tour of Thailand. The hotel was immaculate and the stay unbelievably attentive, supporting and genuinely caring. The staff definitely made us feel at home after a 28 hour flight. We arrived around midnight and there were no issues arriving late. This hotel is in a quieter part of Bangkok with a lot of green spaces making for a peaceful location in such a bustling city. The rooms had everything we needed for a comfortable stay along with a pretty good fitness center to work off booze and food:-) The breakfast was wonderful with very good coffee - usually I don't remark on coffee, but for this place, I found it very delicious. The front desk staff was very knowledgeable and helpful so use them. They also had a dude out front to help get you across a busy street if needed and that was pleasantly unexpected. Be sure to tip that person as they literally risk their health for you.

the rooms are very nice sized and well furnished with good amenities. the bed was a little too soft for me. the tv has service to cast from your phone. the pool was ok and peaceful but there is no way u can get sunlight for sunbathing as the pool is on the 4th floor with a ceiling over it. the staff is exceptional whether front desk or breakfast or concierge. but the breakfast is horrible. the menu is amazing but the space is too small for the guests. on a holiday u want to wake up and have a quiet long breakfast. but first u might have to wait 15 20 minutes for a table after that it is such a noisy and busy place. when they take your orders they always messup if u have any customisation. u tell them fried rice no egg they come back with eggs than u need to wait 20 minutes again. the menu is amazing but u can't enjoy it as it is noisy and kitchen is so busy they always mess up on the customisation. please don't tell it is high season if u are a 5 star hotel u need to be ready for everything otherwise be a 4 or 3 star hotel. the staff at breakfast is amazing just they so busy they can't manage the guests in a way a 5 star should. I dont like pointing to problems without giving solutions. 1. have a larger breakfast area which I doubt is possible now. 2. u have another restaurant khao u can use that too during breakfast at busy times of the year. 3. offer breakfast in bed. the menu is fixed what we order at the table we can order in our room too that will make it easier on availability of tables. u will have to add a couple more waiters to deliver food room to room but will be more enjoyable experience for all guests. overall is a good hotel but due to this chaotic breakfast I would not recommend it as there are plenty of other hotels in bkk.
