“Nobody builds these glorious hotels anymore”
The Montien is a fabulous example of the style large Asian hotels were built in thirty-plus years ago. This style was for huge, airy, atrium receptions and large public areas. “Excellent hotel with good views and next to river bank”

“Dated but clean”
The hotel is in a very quiet location by the river. It is a bit dated, but everything is very clean. Staff are extremely attentive and helpful. Breakfast was good, but evening meal was not the best. Pool facilities are good with an amazing view! Perfect for a couple of nights on a budget.
