Everything here is amazing, Staff is very friendly, a big thank you to people at executive lounge and chef Kan and Bhaia, we are a vegetarian family and both chef went out of their way to accommodate our needs and even brought a fresh mango platter for us. Thanks

His creativity and attention to detail were evident in every dish. Beyond the amazing food, Chef Bhatia treated us with utmost respect and kindness, making our dining experience truly special. “Nice experience, has potential to be 5*”

This hotel has a lot of potential. I was greeted warmly by the gentleman at the airport and then by Asoka who made the check-in process smooth when I arrived. The room is very nicely appointed. Although I am not a fan of baths and showers being part of the same cubicle. I found the Executive lounge staff delightful particular thanks to Jessica who always knew when there was an issue and was always quick to apologise and rectify the situation. Downstairs, the choice of dinner buffet was limited and not only that the staff seemed to be a bit lethargic, took nearly 1 hour to get our drinks. In addition, the seafood that day was not fresh, I never got an answer as to why that was. We were not happy downstairs so asked to have the birthday cake in the Executive Lounge. Jessica was very obliging as was the on duty manager that night I forget her name. The breakfast spread downstairs was vast the next morning and as I was impressed with the choices available. Although for us, we were more than happy with the Executive Lounge breakfast and snacks throughout the course of the day. The hotel was very conveniently located right next to Thonglor BTS station and it is easy to get around with Grab. We had a few miscommunications with the housekeeping staff which was quite funny. We asked the housekeeper for 2 bathmats and got 1 bathmat and a dressing gown and we asked for ice and got 2 bottles of water. Both times, at your service were very prompt with fixing the problem. We also utilised the spa and swimming pool. The infinity pool does not have a lifeguard, so there were less people using it. The spa was well appointed and the staff pleasant. We'd love to return to see what has been improved next time!

The Bangkok Marriott Hotel Sukhumvit offers a convenient location, sitting right next to the Skytrain. This makes it easy to access Bangkok’s main attractions, including the shopping mall area and the weekend market—both absolute must-dos while visiting the city. While the location is great, the hotel itself is showing its age. The rooms are outdated and in need of a much-overdue upgrade to match modern standards and the Marriott brand’s reputation. One of the hotel’s selling points is the rooftop bar, which features a 360-degree view of the city and a DJ. However, it’s not as impressive as the photos suggest. The space feels smaller in real life, and the atmosphere is underwhelming since it attracts mostly hotel guests. Because it’s a Marriott, you’ll often find a lot of tourists dressed casually, which detracts from the "rooftop experience" many travelers are seeking. For a better rooftop vibe, I recommend heading to the one across the street—it’s a much better option for drinks and views. That said, the staff are incredible, and the concierge team deserves special mention. The lady working at the desk during our stay was absolutely fantastic, offering spot-on recommendations for exploring the city. She was truly a highlight of our visit, and we can’t thank her enough for making our stay more enjoyable. The breakfast buffet is solid, with plenty of good options to suit different tastes. The gym is decent, but it doesn’t hold a candle to the one at the Marriott Chiang Mai, which is one of the best hotel gyms I’ve seen globally. If Marriott wants to elevate its fitness facilities, they should use that gym as a reference point for every property—they nailed it there. Overall, the Bangkok Marriott Hotel Sukhumvit offers a good base for exploring the city, but it falls short in terms of luxury and modernity. With some much-needed upgrades and a bit more attention to detail, it could be a much stronger contender in Bangkok’s competitive hotel scene. For now, it’s a decent choice, but there are better options nearby if you’re looking for a more polished experience.
