“King Park Ave Hotel offers great value.”
An excellent lower priced hotel with on site breakfast cafe. Clean with daily services. Very helpful staff. Currently lacks access to train or subway, but new line only a couple of blocks away will soon open to eliminate that issue. Would strongly recommend.

Booked this for one night with the intention of possibly staying for 4 nights ….. not stayed here for 7-8 years but is has really gone down hill & needs a refurbishment. At 1300+ baht per night for a basic room it is overpriced. Booked because of its location near Seacon Square. Rooms are of a good size with a nice quality Tv with foreign channels but the large bed is really uncomfortable and should have been replaced years ago the mattress has sagged with the foot end about a foot higher than the head end ! The bathroom / shower also needs updating with heavily soiled grouting etc. The reception area and reception staff are nice & helpful, The breakfast buffet is no where near as good as a few years ago and now caters solely for the Chinese customer market. Wouldn't stay again unless it was updated it was fairly empty for a large hotel and can understand why. Needless to say only stayed the one night.

On searching the hotels for this trip one important requirement was that the room had a safe... on the Agoda booking site it stated that there was an in room safe... there isn't... I asked at the reception and the safe is located there... so please be warned. I was upgraded to a corner room on the 7th floor which had good views over the city and was quiet. Reminded me a bit of a Best Western hotel back in the UK. 3/4 size bath and a shower that was in a fixed direction... over 6'2''? Then you will have trouble standing up for a shower. Breakfast was more Asian but did have an egg station. Roof pool looked clean but only had 2 sunbeds. Anyway my main reason for staying here was it's location to the Seacon and Parkside shopping malls.

“Another disappointment”
We have stayed at King Park since 2005 and have always made it our home away from home while in Bangkok. Our last stay there, a couple of days ago was a real disappointment. We have stayed at King Park since 2005 and have always made it our home away from home while in Bangkok. Our last stay there, a couple of days ago was a real disappointment. The internet (WIFI) was the worst I have ever seen in any hotel. On, off, on, off etc etc---not reliable to to do work with. Next was the TV selections. Only Thai channels--no more CNN or BBC. This doesn't leave much in room entertainment available. My wife does business calls in Bangkok so I'm left to my own resources and with no English TV or reliable internet, this plce is a scratch. In all fairness though, I must say the staff are very friendly and service is A1. The rooms are now refurbished and quite nice. Get the TV channels upgraded and a new WIFI system installed and we will be back for sure. Oh, yes, very nice pool and fitness room adjacent.
