Spend 3 nights at the end of December 2022. The Hotel was massive for Bangkok. The Breakfast basic but totally adequate. The BTS was very close at was great for getting around the city. We needed a very early taxi to the airport and they sorted out no problem. Found all the staff very helpful and polite.

“Nice Value Hotel – But Needs Some Love”

My wife and I stayed here for two weeks, while visiting family here. It has been a very beautiful hotel in its time and still bears the marks of some very nice architecture. On the positive side, it is very good value, well located only a short walk across from the Phra Kahnong BTS Skytrain Station, staff are helpful and friendly. We had a nice room with equipped kitchen with washing machine The place is clean, although tired and has some nice facilities, especially a well equipped gym and separate men and women’s facilities for sauna and Jacuzzi. The pool area is nice, though it only gets limited sun between 11:00 – 13:00 due to the quadrant layout of the hotel. Across the road there is “W District” with a plaza area of cheap food stalls at night to please a range of international diets. Recommended. Breakfast has a large selection with good multi-national options. On the negative side it just feels unloved and under utilised. The sauna facilities and pool are almost always deserted and there appears to be whole areas of beautiful facilities mothballed. The Acid test… would we stay here again? For the price yes, but there are better hotels in the area if you want to pay a bit more.

Originally booked the standard room which was in another wing of the building but after the first night we both had a headache from the plumbing smell when we woke up. We requested to change the room but they moved us across the hall and also had a bad smell. Finally we had to upgrade to the stud... more

Originally booked the standard room which was in another wing of the building but after the first night we both had a headache from the plumbing smell when we woke up. We requested to change the room but they moved us across the hall and also had a bad smell. Finally we had to upgrade to the studio room in main building and after that it was ok. Good Housekeeping friendly service and close to BTS, Emporium.

I stayed here for a few nights. The two main issues I had were the staff were neither helpful nor spoke English very well at all. I stayed here for a few nights. The two main issues I had were the staff were neither helpful nor spoke English very well at all. When I checked in, admittedly early, the attitude was check in after 2pm. After some discussion they finally allowed me to check in at 1pm whi h was appreciated. The other issue is the noise the cleaners make. I have never stayed in a hotel where there is so much noise from the cleaners. Talking loudly, constant walk talkie noise and banging around. I am at a loss to explain why this is. The corridors are not carpeted so maybe this has something to do with it. The hotel has a good location and rooms are clean and functional. Only average I am afraid.
