Perfect location in the Silom district with quick availability of tuk-tuks and taxis at its front steps. The staff was very service oriented and courteous, and the breakfast offerings are varied and very fresh. The unfortunate problem with my stay was that I was given a room with huge floor-to-ceiling glass windows facing the west of the building. Because the electricity and air conditioning unit in the guest room is activated with the use of the guest key on a slot by the interior of the guest room door, my room was 28° C inside upon arrival. After more than an hour it only went down to 26°C and it was truly miserable. I was given another room and the same but the second one started cooling down to 23°C which for my taste was still too hot, but I left and returned at night and it was fine afterwards. The staff was very concerned about us and tried to help. Another issue was that the modern bathroom, well appointed by the way, has a very thin ledge between the shower floor and the rest of the bathroom floor and, no matter how careful I was, the bathroom floor will be wet after each shower. I used all the available towels to dry before it each time I took showers. My recommendation to the general Manager is to allow for rooms facing the large windows towards the front of the hotel to have keys inserted each day by the room keepers and have them set at a temperature that is saving energy but at the same time will prevent vacant rooms to have temperatures not go beyond 22°C. That will solve the issues for the staff having to scramble to resolve these issues that are probably ongoing. And of course not have guests experience such hot rooms upon arrival.

We did a one night staycation here taking advantage of an expiring offer. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The staff in Stone Bar and Silom All Day Dining (what a restaurant name) were all great. Absolutely no staff complaints for the staff we interacted. The room certainly could have been a bit cleaner. We found some long Asian hair that belonged to neither of us. I think the low lighting coupled with the dark color of the surfaces make it difficult to see when cleaning. The website mentions renovations underway when you look at the hotel on the Hilton site, but it does not give any detail on what is being renovated. Right now this hotel based on facilities and price point is a perfectly acceptable budget hotel. It is not, however, up to the standards of any Hilton Garden Inn that I have stayed. The rooms are definitely well past the need for a full renovation. We did not realize at check in that the room had no bath towels, only one hand towel. We had to call for them the next morning. We had breakfast included and that was an interesting experience. They do have an omelette station which is nice. But there is no bacon and only Thai style sausages. No western meats. They did have waffles and pancakes, but cold sitting out on the bread table. Yuck. There was a small desk lamp aimed at the waffles that I guess was supposed to keep them warm. It did not. The pancakes were on their own. Overall, the biggest thing to me was the lack of sneeze guards or any kind of protection on the food. All low counters, all laying open air like a market. I realize this is the Thai way, but this is a western branded hotel. We did not eat much at breakfast. At Stone Bar the night before, we ordered snacks and wine during happy hour and found both to be very good quality. The wine was surprisingly good for house wine. Overall, if you are traveling on a strict budget this hotel is a great choice as it is a great location. But if budget allows, there are much better options nearby for not much more money.
