Excellent service at Citichic. The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable. Ambience is good, and more importantly, the staff here are extremely pleasant and helpful. Centrally located and has very good amenities too. A store at the front of the hotel makes everything very convenient.

I stayed in the Citichic Hotel for a few nights in January 2024. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and happily return. The big appeal for me is the incredible location. You are right in the middle of all the popular night-time entertainment and daytime shopping. It’s a superb location to access much of Bangkok and thus less time caught up in the famous Bangkok traffic. You are right where the action is. The hotel is close to the Nana BTS sky train station allowing you speedy access to much of Bangkok and the MRT or the underground station of Asoke is not too far either. So, you are pretty well served by two key train stations. Of course, being a popular tourist area there are always taxis and the famous Thailand Tuk-Tuks right outside your hotel allowing you to immediately avoid the heat and head off on your journey in some comfort. The hotel is located at the top of Soi 13 and if you headed all the way up the popular Soi 11 and continued round you would find the hotel. Now Soi 11 is a very popular night-time street packed with bars and restaurants. There are great restaurants serving all international cuisine and of course plenty of Thai options. Soi 11 has so many wonderful bars and night clubs and so you are immediately in a great location should that be what you are looking for. The street also has numerous lovely cafes serving refreshing drinks or superb pick me up coffee and snacks. The appealing factor is the hotel is conveniently positioned just slightly away from the bars and clubs meaning it is a quiet spot and a good night’s sleep is a lot more likely. Right at the hotel there are no bars and clubs open till late and so thankfully its wonderfully quiet. The room has all one would expect from a modern hotel and I was more than happy with the facilities. Room safe, ironing board, hair dryer, TV and lovely bathroom were all there giving me the much-needed wonderful hotel escape feeling that I needed after a hectic day wandering the hectic streets of Bangkok. I had ample cupboard space and a desk and comfy chair. The room I stayed in granted me a good view down the road and as I was reasonably high up in the building it felt great to look down on the street and build anticipation for an exciting day ahead. I would suggest trying to access a room a little higher up the building and with a street view too. The view of Bangkok in the morning really helps creates huge excitement for the day ahead. The roof top pool is not huge but certainly big enough to do short laps and cool off. There is a small decking area, and the pool gets ample direct sunlight should you want to sun bath. If there are many guests, then the space could be limited but it was always quiet when I was there. Right adjacent to the hotel is a handy 7/11 for water and snacks and I often grabbed fruit and a cheese toastie there each morning. Now the staff made my stay memorable. They were very efficient and polite and each moment I was greeted with the famous Thai smile. I speak some Thai and I sense they enjoyed my attempts at fluency whilst there. The ladies in the front desk were superb and helped me with any requests and questions. All round superb customer service. The hotel could do with a new coat of paint and a little attention where there is some wear and tear for sure. An injection of investment would really help to bring the hotel up to date and give it a refresh, but I would still return and given the rates paid its all aligned. If you fancy a real Bangkok transport experience, you are a short walk from the canal, and I highly recommend jumping on the long tail taxi boats that speed through the city. An incredibly exiting experience and a great way to see some of the city and feel like a local. This can be accessed by walking north from the hotel to the canal. So absolutely a fabulous affordable little gem of a hotel with super staff right in the best part of town.
