Hello, I have stayed at this hotel once or twice a year for the past 10 years. I noticed that in the past few years the place has looked very old. This year in 2025 when I checked-in I was thoroughly surprised; they had renovated the place, and it looks great. I am staying at the place because the staff is outstandingly great. The primary reason that I keep coming back is because of convenience. There is Starbucks, McDonalds, and KFC on the ground floor and a shopping center with multiple floors for shopping. There is also a grocery store on the basement floor and you can find everything you may need. I stopped going to Starbucks because they do not accept cash, so instead of paying over 3 or 4 dollars for a coffee I go over to McDonalds and get a coffee, pretty good too, for 1 dollar. I stopped going to KFC because all the chicken selections are spicy. There is a great Thai restaurant across the street, purple building, and the food is great. I eat there a few times a week. Around the corner going towards the Shangri-La Hotel there a few great restaurants (Thai/Western), one of them I consider the best restaurant in Bangkok, but I just can’t remember the name. You know they are a great restaurant because they are always full, so don’t go too late or you may not get a seat. The BTS, the only way to travel in Bangkok is around the corner from the hotel and only a 4 minute walk. Stay out of the taxis or you will find yourself sitting in traffic all day long. Like all hotels in Asia, the exercise room closes at 10 pm, so you can’t wait too late to do your daily exercise. I exercise every day and the hotel’s exercise room is very good. In most Asian cities you have to deal with and get used to the street noises. In this hotel they charge a higher price for the riverside rooms (with a very nice view of the river), but they are the nosiest rooms, because of the freeway down below. One more caution; when you check in to your room, inspect the room and make sure that you will be comfortable. Last month when I checked in the room looked great, freshly painted and new furniture. The only problem is that the sofa (very cheap quality) was hard as a rock; terrible. After 2 days and a backache I couldn’t take it anymore, so I went to the manager and told him my problem that this hard sofa was ruining my holiday. Within 30 minutes he found me a new room; outstanding customer service. If you want a great deal on pricing for this hotel and others in all of Asia, go to the Agoda website and book your room. Enjoy Bangkok, Dan

Since 2011 I'm guest of this hotel, top location, friendly staff especially Sidney working at the reception helped me and guided me excellently. At first I had booked a very spacious room that was much too big and I wanted something smaller with a kitchen and washing machine. In the end Sidney really did her best and I could move into a smaller room for the 7 days that I had booked. the entire hotel has been renovated, new swimming pool, all rooms, breakfast restaurant and lobby. Everything is fine here. The entire hotel has been renovated, new gym equipment has been installed, all rooms have been given a nice facelift, the swimming pool has been re-tiled and redesigned, all in all a successful renovation.

I found this hotel to be great value. Booking several months in advance made the price is very reasonable. Arthur at reception was very helpful to get us into the room a little early given we had just arrived from a 16 hour flight. Much appreciated ! I like the location close to the BTS at the river (easy access to ikonsiam mall), Starbucks right beside and Opens early, lots of shops close, etc. The room was quite spacious with view of the river, laundry machine, fridge, bathtub, shower etc. overall really nice.

We stayed a week and were pleased with the hotel. Family room was spacious and the washing maschine was a bonus. Location excellent with bts and pier near by and shopping mall in the same building. We enjoyed the busy street with shops and vendors. Pool was quite busy. We managed to get sunbeds every time but there aren’t too many. Interior in the room is quite white. Nothing personal or cozy. Special thanks to the security man by the lifts. So helpfull and kind. Good three star hotel, not luxury.

“Decent Stay with Room for Improvement”
Had a decent stay at the hotel. The location was a plus, making it easy to explore. However, the rooms were just okay—clean, but not very spacious. Staff were friendly enough, but service could improve. Overall, it’s a fair choice if you’re on a budget, but don’t expect luxury.
