“Excellent hotel and restaurant experience”

The room we stayed in was amazing! The view of the river and city of Bangkok was incredible. I also enjoyed the boat traffic and the neighborhood. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend and we will definitely return! We will plan a trip to Thailand just to relax here for a few days.

Very good overall but some niggles. Positives - location is great and staff are excellent - slap bang in the market area and a short walk to the local ferry stop which gets you across the river and to the grand palace in less than 30mins (or quicker if you time it right). The hotel has an adjoined roof terrace bar , restaurant area and bar/ cafe which were convenient. We had a river view room - amazing views with a nice little private terrace BUT… Negatives -they say no noise after 10 but expect noise if they have live music in their bar area- this is fine unless you have an early flight / are jet lagged and want some peace . The hotel is around an hour from BKK by taxi depending on the traffic .

“Don’t let the lack of vehicle access put you off coming here . You can’t get a better view across and along the river.”

I really wanted to give this amazing place 5 stars but the late night music from the bar below was too loud . The view of the river was fantastic , we could have watched the boats all day . The staff were incredibly polite and helpful throughout our stay . Every thing you need is in your room , no need for your hair dryer or travel iron. We used their laundry service which again was faultless. This place is not accessible by car but they arrange a tuk tuk for you free of charge to the nearest main road. I highly recommend this place . If you are Vegan breakfast in the above restaurant Ton Makok is limited to fresh fruit only the bread contains milk .

We stayed 4 nights over two visits to the Riverside hotel. The location was very good for us, being right in a lively market that became quiet at night and being adjacent to the boat piers. Our room was older but well maintained and equipped with safe, kettle, fridge, hair dryer, good TV with streaming services. The restaurant on the 3rd floor has great sweeping views of the river. We also really enjoyed having a drink at the rooftop bar with the amazing night time views. To improve: - Towels are getting worn down and should be replaced - on our second visit, WiFi was not working properly on our floor. Staff did not offer any compensation for this. For example, they could have offered a discount coupon for the rooftop bar, but nothing was offered. Instead they asked if they could take our photo by their Christmas tree for social media purposes :(
