“Awesome”

Awesome location and hospitality as I remembered it in 2017. Sukumvit 11 road has lots of restaurants. Mr Art is a loyal employee who is in charge of front entrance. He helped me get a street taxi during rush hour rain when Grab cancelled me. Will return anytime soon.

“Overpriced Hotel with small rooms”

We stayed at Aloft Bangkok from 28/09/2024 to 01/10/2024 for 03 nights. We booked 02 rooms for 02 couples with kids. I found Aloft Bangkok a bit expensive seeing the amenities it offered. The room sizes are very small. One can easily get other better properties in this price range. The plus point of the hotel is the location Sukhimvit Soi 11 being a happening street with many cafes, bars, restaurants, metro station being at walking distance. Talking about our stay, it was good. The staff is courteous. We had an instance where my friend mispcaed his watch in the room. He thought he might have left it in the pool area or might have lost it outside of the hotel property. The night duty manager went all out of the way to recover cctv footage from security team and help us find out that the watch must be in the room as he was wearing it while entering the room. Eventually we found the watch. Cannot recall the name of the lady who was on duty as night manager but special thanks to her. The major things that disappointed me are: 1. Really small size of the rooms. If you are a family with kid, its not suggested. Good for couples. There is hardly any space in the rooms to open the luggage. 2. The entrance/lobby was being renovated during our stay. The entrance was covered with builder curtains and did not give us a bonvoy marriott feel everytime we entered the hotel corridor as the setup seemed temporary. 3. The major disappointing issue and which needs immediate attention of the management and requires training of staff is the Level Club. So there is a high end club namely Levels club on top floor of the property. Though the escalator to the club is separate, the stairs to the hotel and the club's escalator are the same. Now every evening, the Club's staff which i am not sure is Aloft's Staff or not (some of them being like Club's bouncers) stand at the stairs at which the club's counter is setup in the evening. Everytime you climb the stairs to the Hotel, the Club's staff would question you "hey where are you going?" assuming that you are going to the club. And if you are casually dressed like in shorts, they are rude too as if you are trying to enter their club in shorts. Everytime you have to explain that you are staying at the hotel. This is one thing that irritated us the most and needs to be seriously addressed by Aloft's Management.

Spent a 7 nights at the Aloft and I had stayed here before so I knew what to expect but I did not know about the construction. Marriott should have mentioned it on the booking page. Boo Marriott. I that week I had one luke warm shower, the rest of the time, it didin't matter if I took a shower in the middle of the afternoon or 3 am, it was cold. I never had a hot shower all week and that is a crime for a Marriott property. This was my experience on my last visit to this hotel. I like to eat Breakfast early and one morning they forget to code the elevatorto stop on the restauraunt floor. No big deal. The staff are great. I like them, all jai dee. I just hate cold showers so I won't be back. :/
