Spent 4 nights in Next Paradise and was impressed about everything-especially service. Since 1st step from taxi you meet charming smile and total extraordinary care from Anna and then all the staff. The room was spacious and well decorated with attention to details. It's not such a big but well maintained property. Beautiful garden, tennis court. The food was just amazing. After so many days in safari and camp's dishes...Next Paradise's food was a "gourmet"! Delicious. You feel that it's fresh and prepared just for you. You have to try desserts-it's a special mention. In general-you feel simply always welcomed where everyone is happy to assist and serve you anytime. Thank you, Next Paradise. Unforgettable experience and memories!

We were greeted warmly by Ana at the reception desk when we checked in. Ana was a great resource throughout our stay. The room was spacious and immaculate. We enjoyed having a patio. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The Masai security workers deterred some solicitors on the beach. We arrived in the evening, so we decided to take a walk on the beach. We mistakenly walked right by our hotel on our return, but the Masai security recognized us (in the dark!) and they called out our room number to get our attention to tell us that we had reached our destination. It was nice to have breakfast and dinner included. We appreciated having the option to change the fixed dinner menu. We highly recommend this resort for your stay in Zanzibar!

“Beautiful solitude”

This place is gorgeous. Lush gardens with a beach that is nearly private. Great if you want solitude because there are few people at the beach and there is very little commercial activity nearby that I can see. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are beautiful, clean, and seem quite new. There’s a beautiful pool and it seems that some rooms have their own small pool. This would make a great honeymoon spot.

Overall a nice stay. The grounds are neat, the rooms are large (3 beds for my mom and I), the ocean is right out front, and the servers are all trying their best. We had lovely weather for our stay and did the snorkeling trip. At the resort there’s also tennis and ping pong, and they have water shoes if you want to go in the water (a lot of sea urchins so be careful). There’s a bunch of other resorts along the beach so you can bounce around for lunch or activities. We saw jet skiing, kite surfing, paddle boarding, and kayaking all on the beach too. One of the challenging parts was relentless badgering on the beach to get us to buy stuff or give them our personal items. There is a woman who advertises her massages all day and will come up to you and ask you 5+ times a day every day. Kids will follow you when you walk or follow you directly into the water for a swim to ask you for money. A few times they came up to us panting really heavily and asked for water. They tried to take my mom’s shoes out of her hands saying they needed shoes. The men selling items will follow you for well over a half a mile. If you don’t respond to them, they’ll speak in every language they can think of to see if they can get a response. Even if you say no, they continue to follow you and try to sell yelling “good price”. I respect that they’re trying to make a living but it was a lot and inescapable. It would have been really lovely just one time to step out onto the beach in silence and not be harassed from every age and angle. The only other downside was a few issues with dietary restrictions. If you have ONE restriction you should be good. If you have 2 thats where it gets really challenging. We were vegan and gluten free - they did vegan great, they did gluten free great, but they had a really hard time doing vegan + gluten free together. I recommend having some kind of card with instructions written in Swahili before you arrive so that the chefs can understand. They still did their best and we really appreciate that because that’s the most we can ask for. We’re grateful for the kitchen staff putting in effort at every meal. A shout out to Anna for being a wonderful server and friendly face! And a thank you to the woman at the front desk who was so helpful our entire stay, she was amazing. I would recommend staying here with family, friends, or solo. My mom and I saw guests doing it all and having a great time.
