I enjoyed my stay in this hotel. I booked single room with shared bathroom. And bathroom is not a problem at all, since there are two bathrooms. And also there is separate toilet. The breakfast CHF 16 is ok and the croissants are delicious. The receptionist and the staff in the restaurant are friendly. The room size is okay and the bed is comfortable. And the location is within walking distance to the center.

The Saint Georges has got a nice character. The staff are very friendly and made us feel very welcome and at home. The place was clean and tidy and our room was comfortable. The location is excellent and walkable to most places you'd want to see. The shared bathroom was not an issue as we never seemed to encounter any other guests even though the hotel was full. The hotel was quiet and had a good vibe. Breakfast was very good.

The rooms are clean, the breakfast was good with a variety of savory/sweet options including vegetarian (and a decent value, I think it was a 12 Swiss franc add-on), and the location is good (neighborhood with shops/restaurants, and close to a metro stop, but also walkable (20 min) from the central station). I had a room with a shared bathroom, which was fine - it was clean and I never had to wait to use the toilet or shower. Price-wise, Zurich is just expensive, so this was one of the more reasonably priced options in my search. But it still felt expensive for what you got: for example, my room with the shared bathroom was the most expensive hotel room of my 2 weeks in Switzerland and Italy, and all of my other hotel rooms had private bathrooms and some had much larger rooms with more amenities. But the primary reason for the 3 star rating is the lack of notice about the insanely loud construction going on at the building next door that started at 7 AM sharp every morning. It wasn't just normal construction in the neighborhood noise, it was literally pipes being hammered into the wall IMMEDIATELY next to the bed in my room. Maybe if you get a room on the opposite side of the hotel, the construction noise wouldn't be so bad, but I could hear it in the lobby pretty clearly too, so I think it's pretty much hotelwide. I know the hotel can't control what the neighboring property owner is doing regarding construction, but they should notify hotel guest (on the website and when checking in) and definitely offer lower rates for the rooms immediately next to the wall where the construction is occurring.
