Taking tram 3 from Hauptbahnhof, takes no more than 15 minutes to get to the hotel, and right outside the hotel, you can find the tram stop. Upon arrival, the receptionist was very polite and the check in was done very quick. Although the only thing I did not like about the payment, rather than taking the money like a normal payment, they pre-authorize my payment, with an extra 50CHF per night (refundable) (which caused a bit of hassle during the checkout when doing the actual payment). The room given was room number 205. For a single bed room, the size of the room was good. It was clean, modern, and with a window facing the street. Although the room was facing a busy road, the double glazed windows kept the room quiet. The room also had a mini bar, a tv and a coffee machine that made very good coffee. The bathroom was modern, clean, and of a good size. The shower was of a good size and the water pressure was excellent. I also had a small tv in the bathroom. Room service was provided everyday. The breakfast was excellent. It wasn't a buffet, but by order from a menu and I was able to order as much as I wanted. Such a good idea for breakfast. The food was very tasty and of course freshly made. The omelet was my favorite. All in all it was a good choice, and I would certainly come back to this hotel during my next stay :-)

My stay at Mercure Stoller Zurich was an unexpected delight, offering a great experience right in the heart of downtown Zurich. The rooms were a pleasant surprise, providing all the necessary basics in a modern and well-maintained style. Their cleanliness and upkeep were truly impressive, ensuring a comfortable and worry-free stay. While the service at the reception was a bit inconsistent at times, it didn't overshadow the overall positive experience. The minor hiccups were nothing to be overly concerned about. In terms of value for money, Mercure Stoller Zurich truly shines, especially if you're seeking a clean and safe place to rest your head while spending most of your day exploring the city. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to fellow travellers.

I would rate this hotel average . . . not bad, not great, but average. Staff is helpful and the area is totally safe, not far from public transportation. I did find the rooms to be very stuffy and warm despite their having advertised that air conditioning was available. Fortunately, the windows could be opened and it cooled off at night so I was able to get some sleep with that and a borrowed fan. My rate didn't include breakfast so I can't comment on the food. Room keys are unique, big heavy ones that are designed to be left at the front desk when you leave the hotel, apparently. I was fine with that, one less thing to hold onto during my travels around town (photo below).
