“Unbeatable location with amazing view”

Located opposite Montreux train station, this is super convenient for guest arriving by train. Check in was swift and easy, hotel staff were nice and friendly. Room was great, the decor was classical and nice, however the size was a little small. Amazing view from my room and balcony which is facing the lake. Bathroom has a bathtub with L'occitane toiletries provided. Breakfast was just OK, limited variety but the view from the restaurant is fantastic. Avoid sitting outdoor for breakfast as there is a risk of sharing food with hungry seagulls and other birds. I witnessed two incidents in the same morning where seagulls snapped away food from the plate left behind by diners (when he/she away for getting other food/drinks).

Our room and bath were small, necessitating micro managing skills to navigate bathroom counter space, figure out how to store suitcases, and traverse a narrow walkway between bed and desk. We did not have a balcony (if we looked out and to the left, we could see the lake), but the large windows opened for fresh air - and noise with all the restaurants and traffic. But the room was very, very quiet once we closed the windows. We were impressed with the lovely amenities: plush robe, slippers, refrigerator with complimentary water (still & sparkling), 2 cokes, 2 juices, and flavored creamers; a kettle with Nescafé and tea bags; large umbrella; upscale L’Occitane bath products; a scale in the bathroom; even a yoga mat! Exellent breakfast buffet. WiFi log-in was difficult to figure out, but front staff was helpful. Indeed, the staff is all amazing here. I received excellent advice about taking the Rochers-de-Naye train to hiking trails & views. The hotel is close to the staircase, elevator, and escalator to get to the lake level. And how handy to be directly across the street from the train station.

Excellent transformation, I just do not remember this hotel as it has now turned out to be after renovation. Visited this hotel in the early part of May and stayed for five nights . The rooms were excellent and extremely comfortable , room with the lake view is certainly a game changer . The breakfast was good too on a very nice restaurant with a view on the lobby level , the service was really nice in here The Nespresso machine in the breakfast was so unique and have not seen this in any restaurant before . Last but certainly not the least, the staff was really good , the concierge service was really nice and changed how I see Montreux now ,been to Montreux at least five times before too . Timour, their front office manager is excellent and all over the place to help guests with their needs and a superb problem solver , an ideal front office manager and certainly an asset to the hotel.

The Grand Suisse Majestic could have been sheer perfection except for the double rooms lacking a single bigger bed and sticking two smaller ones, on wheels, together. Every time I tried to get close to my wife, I almost fell through the crack. Otherwise, this place offers everything anyone would want on a vacation. The check-in and check-out were easy. The hotel staff was absolutely wonderful. The rooms are grandiose and charming. The views of the lake are incredible. The breakfast, with champagne, was superb. The hotel has a bar and a restaurant too. Even though it offers no parking, there is parking directly across the street at the train station. I highly recommend this place, but make sure you get a bed that is big enough for two!
