I had a lovely stay, with nice food and pleasant staff, though the front desk was largely managed by trainees. The location is fantastic. While I enjoyed my stay, I was disappointed with the room provided. It was supposed to have a city view, but being on the first floor, all I could see was a wall. The hotel should consider introducing a "wall view" category. The room was comfortable but very small, with no ventilation other than opening the windows, which let in traffic noise and disturbed us. The room was the most expensive of all the hotels I stayed at in Switzerland. This dampened our experience a bit. However, the amenities, interiors, public areas, service, breakfast, drinks, and desserts were excellent, which is why I still gave it five stars.

Montreux is literally my favourite place ever and this hotel doesn’t disappoint The welcome is warm and genuine from the minute you step inside . Nothing is too much trouble and impeccable English despite my fluent French So to start there is street parking but limited to three hours so the Swiss permit available from tourist office etc I am blue badge uk disabled and managed to park up on main road - the disabled bay at Territet little port annoyingly was full with a burger van We did book the final night parking at hotel for 18CHF The reception/ bar area is superb and the out door area magnificent with views across the bay and the mighty Dans Du Midi Our room 134 was lovely however taller people may find the beam across the room a challenge ! The bathroom is small but ok . The main issue for us - aunty and niece (adults ) was the door screen was not private ! Ok for us as we joked but not everyone cup of tea seeing all !! Very see through The bed super comfy and quiet . Yes you hear the railway and swans croaking but we liked it . The gardens are lovely and seating plentiful Outside , sadly it rained a bit for us so couldn’t get to really enjoy the stunning setting The breakfast is good but can be a delay in replenishing the hot scrambled eggs , bacon . Also there were plentiful sausage , Yogurt , fruit , boiled eggs , selection on meats and bread , plentiful supply and very attentive welcoming staff We did enjoy a beverage at the bar , usually hotel prices and lovely bar man . Nothing was too much trouble . We used an adapter too as didn’t have one just a deposit of 20chf a room Trolly bus stop 5 mins from door Would certainly come back . The staff all are a credit to the hotel

We picked this Hotel because of its position on the edge of the Lake. We had a Lake view room with a balcony overlooking the terraced gardens to the lake. The room was large enough and very comfortable. Take earplugs as the frogs make a racket early in the Morning and the Evening. The rooms at the rear, which is the front overlook the railway. Everything was excellent, the staff are so pleasant and very helpful. We had half board in the main restaurant on the terrace, a beautiful position. Although there was no choice to have we enjoyed all our meals. If you have preferences or intolerances I’m sure if you told the Hotel in advance they would do their best to accommodate you. The position of the hotel is on the promenade into central Montreal. It’s a lovely walk with many flowers and metal sculptures. The promenade also reaches the Castle (definitely worth a visit) in the opposite direction.

We stayed at this hotel for one night. The hotel has a great location over looking Lake Geneva and has a lovely garden that runs down to the lake promenade. The centre of Montreux is about 15min walk along the lake. We paid extra for a lake-view room which had a balcony and afforded great views. The room had been freshly decorated was simple and modern with a very nice walkin shower and comfy bed. We decided to eat our evening meal in the hotel restaurant, unfortunately compared the rest of the hotel experience our meal was disappointing. The meal price was relatively high even for Switzerland and unfortunately it was presentation over taste /quality. If it was not for the meal experience I would have rated the hotel as excellent. We had not booked breakfast so can't comment. As a tip if you are in Montreux take an 1 hour to visit the Queen / Freddy Mercury museum / recording studios at the Casino - it is free and really interesting.
