“Beautiful Chalet apartment with a balcony but low clearance in the loft”

So I stayed two nights in one of the apartment rooms which are in a separate building behind the main hotel. (Listed as: Standard Apartment with Gallery, Balcony (Chalet)). So I stayed two nights in one of the apartment rooms which are in a separate building behind the main hotel. (Listed as: Standard Apartment with Gallery, Balcony (Chalet)). My top floor room had a kitchen, living room, huge bathroom, a balcony and loft bedroom. I loved every minute of my stay. The hotel provides cooking equipment upon request - although just remember that there are no cooking supplies (like spices or condiments) so if you're going to cook, you'll need to buy everything at the Co-op which is a 2-3 minute walk away. The staff was super! The front desk staff was helpful, friendly and knowledgable and got me checked in very quickly. There was a minor issue with the TV, and they had someone up to fix it very quickly. I really enjoyed sleeping in the loft - however - a word of caution; the ceiling is very low, and the steps are very steep. I'm in my late 50s and about 5'8' tall. I bonked my head a couple of times on the low ceiling rafters in the loft and the stairs were a bit steep for my creaky legs. Again - I absolutely loved it - but if that kind of stuff bothers you, or mobility is an issue, then perhaps a regular room at this hotel would be a better choice. I'd guess that families might sleep the adults on the pullout couch and send the kids to the loft - but for me, the adventure of sleeping up there was worth the soft bonk on the noggin.

“Beautiful interior and views, OK location. ”

Nice hotel, me and my husband's and also my brother's rooms had beautiful views, we had a single and standard room. Although my mother's room was standard with no view. A bit of luck. Nice hotel, me and my husband's and also my brother's rooms had beautiful views, we had a single and standard room. Although my mother's room was standard with no view. A bit of luck. Breakfast was lovely, the breakfast area overlooks the mountains. The staff were very helpful. The hotel was very quaint. Good location, however the gondola for grindlewald first is a 10 minute or so walk. We were kind of on the side but still really close to all the shops and the grocery shop. I would recommend.

This hotel is in the heart of Grindelwald. Its right next to the train station, local bus station and the supermarket. We'd booked a room and an apartment. Both of them were comfortable and cozy. They had good views of the surrounding mountains peaks. The apartment was spacious and had a functioning kitchen as well. Overall has very good access to the touristy places around (Jungfrau, Murren, Lauterbrunnen, canyon) The staff were very professional and friendly. The rooms, however, did not have a view of the sprawling grass hills that Grindelwald is famous for. The breakfast spread had limited vegetarian options

We stayed in the gallery apt 10 which was the perfect size for our family. The hotel is located close to the train station and in the heart of everything. The apartments are actually in the building behind the hotel but we thought that worked out better than being on the main street. The staff was always nice. The breakfast was the same everyday but that was okay with us because we just wanted to eat quickly to get to our adventures! Now here are the pros and cons in our opinion! Pros: -ABSOLUTELY AMAZING VIEW FROM THIS APARTMENT 10! We sat outside on our balcony every evening and just marveled at the beauty of the mountains. -Love the balcony -Having the small kitchen was very nice especially to go to COOP and get some food, drinks, snacks - Breakfast included - Bathroom was nice - Apartment was clean Cons: - There is no air conditioning so if it's warm then you must keep the windows open. Unfortunately, you do hear noise from the hotel restaurants nearby. However, everything seems to quiet down by 10:30. - Our son ended up sleeping in the bed upstairs because my husband and I were very concerned about going up/down the stairs inside the apartment. They were unusually shaped. I would definitely recommend staying here especially in the apartments.
