We visited the hotel as we wanted somewhere local to stay while we enjoyed a few nights of Moon & Stars. The location is fabulous, sunrise streams into the lake view rooms. The hotel is a steady 4-star experience and price/performance is fine. The pool area is modern and enjoyable, hampered only by the shadow in the morning and afternoon as the sun passes over. Top tip: get away from the kids in the pool and enjoy the Sky Lounge on the 6th floor. There are sunbeds and a shower up there with no shadows to impede your day. The garage is just funny. People park like idiots because it has this old, no-longer-used lift system in cubicles.

“Fair, nice for short trip”

Just one night, it’s a bit old, but all was comfortable and fair for a very low price The location is nice walking distance from center, nice garage.. good service.. Just need a renovation, (primary at the bathroom, and a bit more amenities, but I’ll not mind to come back.

Positives: - hotel is in an excellent location on the main road over looking the lake and only 5/10 mins into the centre of town - rooms are nice and comfortable, lovely bed, big balcony. Bathroom felt brand new and spotlessly clean - nice, varied breakfasts (I'd suggest adding baked beans but that's a personal thing!) Negatives: - there is an absolutely massive (HUGE) tree out by the pool which basically throws the whole pool area into shade for a large part of the day. It is FAR too big and needs to be trimmed back. On our first day around the pool the sun didn't come out from behind the tree until 12pm and then is lost behind the hotel at 4pm. People were all moving around the pool trying to find a bit of sun. Can't do anything about it going behind the hotel obviously but trimming the tree is a must! - the pool looked like it needed a good clean which is a real shame and I wouldn't expect it of a hotel like this (or indeed even a basic hotel). The water on the first day was really milky and green looking (it did improve slightly) and there is green slime around the walls and stairs (the stairs particularly). - the sunbeds around the pool are SO hard! There's not that many of them so wouldn't be too much to buy some cushions. - didn't feel like there were enough staff in the bar area so they were often unable to provide room service, and then closed at 11pm even when there were customers still in the bar which is a bit strange for a hotel.

Staff at reception are nice & welcoming but that's pretty much where it ends. Woke up the 1st morning to go for breakfast and were told it's booked out yet there was only about 5 tables seated, that's when we were told we'd have to book breakfast/dinner times which that night was full also so they sent us across the road to another restaurant which obviously has some deal in these covid times to take the overflow from hotel guests. The problem at the H4 restaurant was the angry chefs and staff that just didn't give a crap and weren't helpful at all other then 1 younger women. The food at breakfast was the same thing daily over 6 days and they don't do toast or actually cook eggs for the individuals desires they just cook them scramble or sunny side up and just leave them under a light also I've never seen bacon so sweaty looking as it's not very well cooked. Dinner service was buffet or ala cart but wasn't anything special you could get the same at nearly every place around town. The pool area is great place to sit in the sun with nice views of the mountain and lake yet falls short in service as it seems like the staff don't want to leave the indoor area to serve you. The room was OK but the cleaning service once again was very average we would leave daily early and as walking out they were already cleaning room on our level yet every day we would return around 330-4pm and see our room had not been cleaned and as we got prepared for dinner they would show up to clean.
