“Felt like a VIP at this Hotel which oozes old world charm”

We stayed for three nights in June for a city break. From arrival, this hotel stands out from its neighbors by the plants and flowers that surround it's frontage. The doormen, reception staff and porters are smart, welcoming and so helpful. It is like stepping back into a more caring era and being made feel like a VIP. It is a relatively small establishment with 39(?) rooms. We had number 126 (an Exclusive Lake View Room). It is on the first floor with a full length window overlooking the lake and a small balcony to the side, with a table, chairs, flowers and also with views of the lake. We were shown the room and welcomed with a glass of champagne and slices of cake. The room has a bathroom with a combined bath/shower (a bit of a step to get in), toilet, double wash stand and plenty of mirrors. There was a small walk in wardrobe area with plenty of storage for a short stay, a safe and tea/coffee making facilities. The large bedroom was very ornately decorated with a setee, desk with pens and paper, tables, plenty of storage space, a large TV with 100s of channels and a huge, comfortable bed. There is also a mini-bar in the 'hallway' of the room. The staff cleaned the room once a day and then 'turned it down' in the afternoon/evening, leaving out bathroom slippers, turning down the bed and placing home made sweets on the pillows, a lit candle in the bathroom and fresh bottles of water were also left. The attention from room service was wonderful. For example, we left the cables for our iPhones and my razor out, when we came back in the evening, even these had been rolled up and secured with little, hotel supplied, Velcro strips. We had breakfast every morning in the cozy restaurant which overlooks the lake. A good selection of cold fare, breads, cakes, cereals with the option of a small selection of hot foods. We also had the afternoon tea with Champagne. Fantastic, and far too much to eat! The Hotel is ideally placed to get around. It is just across the road from three water taxi jetty's and the mooring point for one of the large paddle ships if you take a cruise. There is also a little tourist road train that does a tour of the parks area. A three/four minute walk gets you to where the hop-on hop-off tour bus starts and another land train. While we took a taxi from the airport to the hotel, when going back to the airport, we walked to the Cornavin station (about 7 minutes) and took the train to the airport (less than 10 minutes). At the time of writing, when staying in Geneva, tourist get a free Geneva Transport Card (ask at the hotel) which gives free use of all public transport (busses, trams, trains and water taxis). A thoroughly enjoyable stay and many thanks to all the staff for making us feel special.

“Extraordinary Service”

This hotel is well-located and has beautiful hallways and rooms. Most importantly, however, the service was the best I’ve experienced in any hotel that I can remember. The staff all called me by name at every interaction. The restaurant at the hotel is also fantastic

I would recommend staying here as nothing is too much for them in order to make your stay memorable.
