“Clean and Spacious!”

Check-in was smooth despite being busy time of day. The room exceeded my expectations.. clean, sharp, very spacious with a solid view (I got the superior king with city view) Was a really nice hotel and a great location! Note: Beds are very firm! Only draw back for me.

There are two Radisson Blu hotels close to the Central Station and we arrived at the wrong one first. Once we got to the correct one we knew we made the right choice booking the Radisson Blu Waterfront. We got an exceptionally warm welcome from Receptionist Gigi and she was so kind and helpful. She is a real asset to the hotel and nothing was too much trouble. She made sure we had two rooms next to each other and mine had the walk in shower I needed. We had two Business Class rooms with incredible views over the water. The rooms were spacious and spotless and the bed was super comfy. There wasn’t much storage but we were only there overnight so it wasn’t an issue. We appreciated having a small window that opened but the room was still warm. Gigi to the rescue again. She rang to check if everything was ok with the room and when I mentioned it was warm she quickly dispatched someone to check the air conditioning and then provide a fan.

This hotel is directly opposite the rear (Congress Centre) exit from the Central Station (the arrival point of trains from Arlanda Airport). If you are booked at this hotel, be aware that there is another Radisson Blu Hotel by another exit from the station. Very nice breakfast. While our (superior lake view) room was spacious and nicely furnished, and had a window that opened, we were very surprised that there were no shelves or drawers for guests’ use. While the hanging rail included trouser hangers, there was insufficient drop under the rail to use them!

Check in was very good. Thank you Gi Gi. I wish every one at check in was like you, big smile and lovely welcome. Room was very nice on the 15th floor over looking the lake. View was brilliant. The room was very modern with crisp lines. Bathroom was very good with a great shower. Only slight niggle was the bed was rather firm. Cleaning was excellent. Breakfast was very good and plenty of choice. The only thing that lets the hotel down was the restaurant in the evening. We were shown to our table and drinks orders taken at which time we were given the menu . Drinks delivered we were ask what we would like to eat only to be told our choice was unavailable and had been for a couple of days. Had we been told what options were unavailable we would probably have gone else where, rather disappointing. There was a large party of men obviously on business trip drinking lots of bottles of wine and they were the centre of attention of the staff and had a job to get the bill. Check out was smooth.
