This hotel is five star all the way around. Location - absolutely convenient to everything you want to see and everywhere you want to go in Stockholm. Staff - front reception and all of the restaurant staff are professional, nice and competent. Property - very clean with beautifully appointed room. Very comfortable beds and really nice towels. Bathroom floors are heated as is the towel bar! We arrived at 9 am from an overnight flight. We were able to check in early and we got an upgraded room. The hotel partners with Virtuoso travel so there seemed to be some great extras that we got. The restaurant is a little pricey but given that it’s a restaurant in a hotel in a city center we weren’t surprised at the prices. If I find myself in Stockholm again this is definitely the hotel I would choose! Note that photos were taken fyy tu on our room. Great view!

“Anier was amazing. Great dinner expirece.”

Aneir was amazing! The meatballs were great and the fish tasted amazing. The waiter was very nice and treated us like royalty and like life long friends. We will come back whenever. This restaurant was amazing and my favorite place to visit in Sweden!

This hotel is located in a lovely part of Stockholm and is centrally located so that you can walk to many of Stockholm’s attractions. Our hotel room required the use of the one old elevator in the building which could only hold 2 people with luggage and 4 otherwise. Unfortunately often times people did not close the gate which would mean that the elevator was stuck and required the front desk clerk to climb the stairs and close the gate. Our hotel room required climbing 3 stairs to get to the door and our hotel room had several stairs between the bedroom and the floor with bath and toilet rooms. The bathroom was small and it had a tub bath shower with a slippery bathtub. There were nice fluffy towels but no shelves for toiletries. There was a makeup mirror but no towel rack in separate toilet and sink area. The staff was nice and helpful but unfortunately did not warn us about cab drivers who sit out in front of the hotel and rip off their customers. The room was freshly painted but furniture was showing some wear. No chargers bedside but the desk had a nice charger strip. There was ample drawer and closet space for clothes and the room had 2 nice club chairs and desk chair. The beds were comfortable. The room and bathroom were well lit with good blackout curtains and we had a beautiful view of the water. The bedroom was nice sized. Breakfast buffet was standard fare but good and there was a supplemental menu for hot dishes. If you can deal with the stairs in the room and the shower/tub combo I would recommend this hotel.

Hotel Diplomat was a very nice hotel. We stayed for 5 nights, and got the breakfast included in our rate when we booked. This was a cold buffet with the option to order an entree. A nice way to start the morning, and the staff was very nice. We also booked a water view room, which was pretty, although I would request an upper floor. Our room was a bit warm, and the temperature would not go below 24 Celsius (75F). Our bathroom was a split bath, both fairly small (almost like I have seen on a cruise ship) with a toilet and tiny sink in one and shower and sink in the other, which was convenient for 2 people getting ready. A couple minor issues: stains on the carpet, a loose outlet, mold in the shower, milk for tea wasn’t replaced after 2 days. Otherwise a nice stay!
