“Great staff and great hotel”

The staff at the front desk were awesome! They were generous and we felt so welcomed! Great rooms and great breakfast! This is real great value. The hotel Is located in a great part of Stockholm and its really great. Not a lobby but that is not a problem regarding its location.

First time to Stockholm travelling with family. We had single and twin rooms. Teenagers had their room changed as it was on the small side. I also was moved to a gorgeous suite at no extra charge after a problem with the bathroom. Reception staff were really great finding us restaurants and arranging taxis. Most accommodating. Buffet breakfast very good choice and although we didn't think there was a toaster staff explained it was kept in the kitchen for health and safety and immediately made us some.

“Everything excellent except see to that you don't get a room over the night club (?)”

Great location. Small but adequate room with bath tub and mini bar. Breakfast was as expected, but the breakfast area had sections which made it much quieter and more cozy than hotel breakfasts usually are.

We spent two nights here in late October as part of a trip to Stockholm to see Madonna in concert. After arriving at the airport we took the Arlanda Express to the Central Station, and after changing on to the T-Bana got out at Ostermalmstorg, where we had a short walk to the hotel. We arrived quite late (around 10pm), but were checked in very quickly. Our room was on the first floor and overlooked the main road at the front of the hotel. Our first impressions were that the room was quite small, and as it was at the end of the corridor had the feel of a former store cupboard that had been converted to accommodation. However we soon discovered that all the rooms in the hotel were the same size, and were told by reception that all hotel rooms in Stockholm are a similar size given how expensive the city is. The room itself was in good condition, with a comfortable bed and a small area to store clothes. There were tea and coffee-making facilities provided, and a fridge with complimentary water was provided. The bathroom was again quite small, but it was very clean and had a good quality shower. We had breakfast included in our rate, and on the first morning went to to what could be described as a bit of a shambles in the restaurant. Obviously too many people had come down for breakfast at the same time, and there were no tables available for a while. They also seemed to be short-staffed, as when people finished their breakfast their tables were not cleared. We eventually found a table and cleared it ourselves- once we got to have breakfast we were impressed with the choice and quality on offer (the second morning was much more relaxed and we had no issues). On our first night we went out to eat, and when we came back discovered that the restaurant becomes a sort of nightclub until 2am. As our room was directly above the entrance we were kept awake for a while by the music and the people leaving and entering (and going out for a smoke). On the second night we got back from the Madonna concert and saw it was open so decided to go in for a drink- there was a great atmosphere and some really good music being played by the DJ. The hotel is very well located, and sits in an area with a lot of upscale shops and a good range of restaurants. It is a short walk to both Standvagen (where you can catch a boat trip), and to the tourist sites on Gamla Stan. It is also very close to the main shopping district in central Stockholm, and unlike many European cities most stores are open on Sundays. This was only a brief stay, and even though are room was on the small side we were happy with our stay.
