We are two couples travelling around Europe to see Roman sites and other antiquities. We booked into the hotel, but we're amazed when our SatNav could not find the address and brought it up as not obtainable. It took us the best part of an hour to find it, and only after enlisting a couple of local policemen. Eventually we found a car park as part of the Basilica del Pinar cathedral. But it was so worth it, as the hotel is right in the middle of the historic centre of Zaragoza. The bedrooms are great, and although we stayed on a Saturday, not too noisy. The hotel provides a three euro breakfast which was fine for us. So we all think it is a good hotel, with friendly staff in a great location at a reasonable price.

We stayed here for two nights on our way to Barcelona from Madrid, Zaragoza was definately the worth the stop, perhaps two nights was not long enough. The hotel is well located in the main street just across from the square and the Basilica de Pillar. Our rooms was spacious and has a small juliet balcony, tv and safe. The bathroom was also large and had basic but sufficient amenities. The staff were also nice and helpful, the lady when we checked in has decent english and was able to help us with our questions, the man in the morning did not speak english but he was very happy and helpful. There are a few reasons I could not give this hotel full marks 1. Cleaning is an issue in parts of the room, the curtains and dusty and need washing, also the floor behind the furnishings was very dirty, we only noticed because we travelled with our baby and needed to arrange some of the furnishes to make our stay more comfortable 2. The mini-bar was not re-stocked or controlled, when we called reception to get more water or beer they said the cafe was closed so they couldnt provide it. There is no market close by so be prepared before you head in for the night.

“An average hotel”
The best thing is the location, but during the night can be a bit noisy. The matress was good, and the room in general meets the parameters of an three star hotel. The staff was very kind, and helful.

I stayed in this hotel 1 night to visit a friend in the city. It is in the center of Zaragoza and for the price it was just right! Location is perfect as the room is close to the Plaza/Basilica del Pilar, and there is some good tapas dining in the area! The room was clean and spacious. There was free wifi which worked well. There was also a small balcony (Juliet-style) which looked out into a side street. It being Saturday night there was noise from the bars below, but that wasn't a problem for me. It wasn't rowdy and It all dwindled down at about 2am. Included a safe in the closet and a mini bar. The only problem, which could have been a HUGE problem had it been hot outside, was that there was no A/C. I looked around the room for the thermostat, but found none even though there were vents that gave the impression that there was some sort of A/C system. Since it wasn't terribly warm I didn't bother calling the front desk and just decided to open the window.
