“A hidden Gem ”

This was our first visit to Zaragoza, staying here as a three night break in a drive holiday. We chose an apartment basically as we were looking at something different for the three days and keeping costs down a little, so on the latter we did not expect much. Upon arrival first thing was the fact… more

“2B or Not 2B”

Apartment 2B is spacious clean and comfortable. There are 3 opening doors onto Juliet balconies so plenty of fresh air and light. Not a wonderful view but of character of the local area. At reception a professional and friendly welcome and shown to the apartment which is rare these days but a nice… more

“Clean functional and inexpensive”

We recently stayed 2 nights at the Apartments de los Sitios which shares the same address as the Casa Palacio. Our apartment was, as the title says, clean, functional and inexpensive. The air conditioning worked well which we much appreciated. The front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful, bu… more

Firstly can I say that these are lovely well equipped apartments, although not best wifi. Just outside the old town but still okay location. However I only booked as wanted a terrace after several days backpacking around Spain. Said when booked I wanted a terrace. Management emailed me about check … more

  • The top reviews of Casa Palacio De Los Sitios are: This was our first visit to Zaragoza, staying here as a three night break in a drive holiday. We chose an apartment basically as we were looking at something different for the three days and keeping costs down a little, so on the latter we did not expect much. Upon arrival first thing was the factor that parking in this area is scarce so you drop the luggage then play a game of ‘ find a spot’ luckily for us and much to the owners amazement.. 100 metres away. Reception is via a small alley way but once you step in the door you are in a different very modern world. We were greeted with enthusiasm and a keenness to make us more than welcome. The staff speak English and local information is available in abundance. We were then shown our apartment, up on the fourth floor, thankfully via a lift. The apartment itself was well above the standard I expected, wood laminate floors throughout, tiles in the WC/Shower room. Neutral decor and modern facilities include; full size job and oven, kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge freezer, fully plumbed in washing machine, clothes airer, hairdryer, iron and ironing board also cutlery, plates and cups etc and cooking utensils. Toiletries and towels and a daily cleaning service is available however at an additional cost, Everything worked as it should including the air conditioning/heating system. Locally there are literally hundreds of bar/cafes restaurants etc for food and drink, ask at reception and the local good ones will be pointed out. Small basic shops are nearby as are larger Macedona Supermarkets for stocking up. The apartment itself is in a highly populated area so you feel the concept of been in ‘the real spain’ however we heard no. Pose during the nights. The ‘local’ area looks a little daunting when you first step out, but look beyond the small alleyways and graffiti walls, people are friendly and shops inviting. It takes ten minutes to walk into the main tourist area where you will find the Basilica de pilar, the San Salvador Cathedral a little further is Aljaferia Palace, various churches and museums and a very large cosmopolitan shopping area. We loved our stay here, once we looked past the graffiti (which is everywhere) some actually just mindless graffiti some street art, also past the beggars and ‘lucky lucky ‘ street vendors (selling poorer quality items) It is a place of many things, History and religion, century old buildings against modern day architecture, cosmopolitan shopping against poverty. In the three days we were here we never needed to move the car, everything was accessible on foot, even if some were a little further afield, taxis are plentiful and governed properly if needed, also an open top tour bus operates the area. .
