I stayed at the Silken Ciudad de Vitoria during the first two weeks of February on a business trip. Overall, it was a very convenient stay: - The staff is very friendly and helpful. - My room was simple but with everything you need, nice bathroom, comfortable bed, spacious cabinet and important: heating in February was activated. - Reliable and daily room cleaning. - Breakfast is very good and offers everything you need. - The hotel is located close to the city center with a lot of restaurants and tapas bars. The restaurant and bar of the hotel is also recommendable, overall a lot of good options for the evening after work. Maybe important for people sensitive to noises: the windows are not soundproofed and street noises are sometimes very well hearable at the late evening and early morning hours. If this does not bother you, I can fully recommend the Silken Ciudad de Vitoria. The only thing I missed was a gym room, I did not expect that a 4* hotel does not have one (I did not check upfront, so my fault). Therefore, I give (very good) 4 out of 5 possible points…

This hotel has a very stately lobby that exudes grandeur of bygone times. The location is very convenient, close to the historical heart of the city center. The hotel has a parking, but during our stay the parking spaces were always occupied, so make sure you reserve a space beforehand if you travel by car. The hotel room was fine, but there lingered a very distinctive, musty smell in the room. We opened the window as much as possible, but couldn't get rid of the smell. Almost if the room hadn't been used in months. The room had a fridge and a minibar which we didn't use. Breakfast was fine, but to be honest, I expected more from a four star hotel. The beds were very good, I slept very well. The bathroom was modern and clean. To save water we tried to keep the same towels for multiple days by not throwing them on the floor, but the staff kept changing them. Strange, because it was indicated in the room that the towels wouldn't be switched out if you didn't put them on the floor. One day we returned from a very strenuous hike at 17h. Our room still wasn't cleaned and we badly wanted to take a shower. So we put a sign on the room door that we did not wanted to be disturbed. After our shower we found a paper from the cleaning staff, saying that if we wanted to have our room cleaned we could ask this at reception before 17h. Hard to do when you arrive at 17u to find your room still hasn't been cleaned... We really disliked the wifi policy. We could only connect two devices simultaneously. We travel with six devices, so this is really inconvenient. Time to change this policy.

Nice hotel in the centre of town, bedrooms comfortable and very clean , mini bar reasonably priced ,bathrooms very nice , breakfast could be better , good choice but buffet hot food was cold . Nice bar area ,also served food and reasonably priced .
