This is not a standard hostel, it only has 10 rooms and they are all private (for this reason the prices are a bit higher than the others). They are not big, but essentials. It is situated in a great position, easy to get to (from the airport metro line 3 till Xátiva and then 10 mins walking), it is two minutes far from the Mercado Central and very close to the most important attractions. There is one common bathroom with 3 showers and one toilet and one private bathroom with a toilet and a shower (I have always found it free and available). The furnishing is very peculiar and nice. Pay attention there is no staff in the morning (there are physically there from 2pm till 9pm) and I had to call them in order to get the door open and leave the luggage. There are very kind and available anyway. Recommended if you look for a quiet place in a good location, not recommended if you look for company and hope to meet people (as it normally happens in a hostel). I would come back for sure!

We recently stayed for 2 nights in the hostel. Great location for exploring, free wifi, clean, quiet and rooms were nicely decorated. Check in with receptionist David was easy enough and he was friendly and helpful throughout our stay, including organising bike hire for 24hrs. 10 hotel style rooms only and barely saw anyone else. Kitchen could do with a few more sharp knives for cooking, pillows very thin and extra hooks/bench needed in share bathroom to keep clothes dry when showering.

Before I talk about some negatives, I'll say the positives. The bed was very comfortable and the bed sheets felt clean. However, generally this hostel didn't feel very clean. For example, the tea tray in the bedroom was covered in dust and crumbs. There were crumbs on the bedroom chair. The shower was really unclean. There was dust and dirt in the corners that had obviously built up over days or weeks. This dirt could easily be wiped away with a cloth but the cleaner obviously had not bothered to do this. Just because a hostel is cheap and basic, that's no reason for it not to be cleaned properly. Cleaning is not a luxury. Most of the time there was no receptionist there. So when I needed a hairdryer at 8:30pm there was no one to ask. I sent an email but I didn't get a reply until the following morning, which was too late. Someone has done a good job of decorating the place in an interesting and creative way. But if you look beyond that, it's a bit shabby. The walls in my room were covered in marks and stains. As you would expect for this price, the bathrooms were really basic and 'no frills'. It felt like the showers at a public swimming pool or something like that.

Positives: great location, friendly and helpful staff, big rooms. Negatives: the floor in our room was really dirty, there were dust balls under the bed, the showers are uninviting and some were even broken..
