The hotel was big with clean and spacious rooms. The lone complaint is that the location is not near some of the tourist spots in town. If you are looking to go to the beach or the Old Town, you will need to take some cabs. We had no problem with the hotel itself, besides the bathroom door not closing all of the way, but we survived.

“Pleasant, conveniently located, but rather spartan midrange business hotel ”

I recently stayed at the Hotel Primus Valencia for one night during my weeklong trip to Spain. This hotel is an excellent and affordable base for anyone visiting Valencia to tour the City of Arts and Sciences. There is an El Corte Ingles department store on the next block over with a supermarket in the basement, the Aqua shopping mall is across the street with a McDonald's, Taco Bell, and many other restaurant options, there are numerous other restaurants and stores nearby, and the neighborhood as a whole is new and nice. I needed to do some laundry to ensure I would have enough clean clothes to last through the end of my trip, and the TuttiClin self-service laundromat located four blocks west turned out to be the perfect choice. There are several bus lines which come frequently and link the hotel with the city center. If you don't mind the long hike, there is a tram station about half a mile to the south. The room was comfortable, pleasant, and in good condition. No unusual smells or sights noted. HVAC was quiet and temperature control was excellent, as with all hotels I stayed in during my Spain trip. Now the downsides, which is what we all read TripAdvisor for, and which is why I ended up ranking this hotel a four rather than a five. The main downside is that my assigned room was very spartan, more like a motel room than a hotel room. It was not quite as nice as the photos on the official Web site or even the ones on "honest" travel sites like Oyster. It looks like those photos were shot in a room where all the trim was in a pleasant brown wood print. In my room, a substantial portion of the trim was in a solid olive-colored plastic which looked very cheap and cheesy. It stood out in sharp contrast to the lobby, which tries to look like a distinguished modern European hotel. The gym in the basement has limited hours, is small, and doesn't have much equipment. It's really more of a workout room than a true fitness center.

“Decent hotel, ok location but small pool and slow lifts”

Hotel was average. Not sure it is a 4 star hotel. Rooms were clean. We had adjoining rooms as we were 2 adults and 2 children. Location was decent. Hotel was average. Not sure it is a 4 star hotel. Rooms were clean. We had adjoining rooms as we were 2 adults and 2 children. Location was decent. Too far to walk to the old centre but taxis easy to find and not too expensive. Lots of food places nearby so no need to eat in the hotel. Pool was small for the size of the hotel. Reception was ok. Provided enough information but nothing special or extra. Lifts were extremely slow.

Shower had mould in it as does the public toilet near breakfast room. Breakfast ok No tea or coffee in room Smelly and dark corridors: nauseating! Room smelly at times Pool a long way from rooms and is very small, no deck chairs beside the pool. Pool access walks through the main bar and community area. This hotel is definitely not four star! Would not recommend this hotel to stay. The worst stay we have had in Europe in 6 weeks.
