“Very nice room at a decent price”

We stopped here overnight between Toledo and Granada. It was easy to reach and offered a large clean room for a decent price.

We stayed here on the way from Northern Spain to the South this August. It was very cheap. I booked through another web booking service but wanted to add another person, I emailed them in my broken Spanish and they immediately responded and added the guest. As we were moving from 3 to 4 guests we had to have another room but they gave us a discount on the extra room! When we arrived we found the rooms clean with excellent air conditioning, (which we needed in the August heat), and nice bathrooms. I would have liked a fridge in the room though - but you could get cold water/drinks from reception. The free Wi-Fi worked very well and I was able to Skype home. The breakfast was included, unlike most other hotels, but it was very basic - juice, a hot drink, and a roll or croissant or similar. We had booked another hotel for our return journey but cancelled that and stayed here again on the way back. We had booked 4 persons (same rooms, same price) for our second stay, but only 3 arrived and we were not charged for the 4th person. We still got the same rooms but they charged us less anyway. It was about 5 minutes walk from the centre, (Plaza de España), it was easy to find in a car, (even though our TomTom took us to the next street), as it was on a main road out of the town. Although there is no car park, parking is allowed on the road outside and we did manage to find a space, although it was quite busy. I will certainly stay here again - it is cheap, clean and friendly and if I want more breakfast I can always buy something else to eat! I will take a pillow next time though - as I thought the pillows were too big, (about the size of 2 pillows) if you only use one pillow you may find them a bit too thick and not very comfortable).

“An unexpected stop over”

Whilst travelling down to Southern Spain in our van loaded with our belongings, we broke down and had to make an unscheduled stop. The tow truck driver very kindly got us a room for the night, it was after 10pm so we were very grateful for his help. We had never stayed in a hostal before and had no idea what to expect, the owner and staff were friendly and made us a sandwich at that late hour. The room was clean and comfortable even came with free wifi. We would certainly consider staying again and will definitely look more favourably at Hostals in the future.

It was located outside the main center, about a 20min walk, next to a gas station. Breakfast in not included when booking directly with them. I booked an extra double on booking.com and the price was the same as the individual when booking directly with them, with breakfast included. But when they noticed we were upset about them offering a free breakfast for our two friends staying in the double and not me & another friend in the individual rooms, they ended up offering us breakfast for free, so that was nice, though the breakfast was mediocre with no fresh fruit offered. There is free Wi-Fi but the computer available in the lobby you have to pay for. Overall, it was not the best accommodation I've stayed at but decent for a one night stay and couple day visit of the city.
