“Clean & well located”

Good breakfast, good location near the park. Helpful staff. Nice stroll into Tortosa. The decor is very 70’s but it was comfortable. Generous breakfast with good coffee and choice of patisserie. Near the train station.

There are people who wouldn't think much of this place, and certainly , you can find fancier hotels - but I have no complaints. I paid €35 for a single ensuite room. There are people who wouldn't think much of this place, and certainly , you can find fancier hotels - but I have no complaints. I paid €35 for a single ensuite room. Which - was small, with a single bed, but I was only here for 1 night and it met all my requirements. Check-in was available on arrival (in fact I was here 30 minutes before my official check-in) and this isn't always the case with some hotels. The room and bathroom was clean, bed was comfortable, there was enough room for me and my luggage. The TV worked and had a variety of streaming options. The aircon also worked (you can't always rely on that) although the minimum temperature was 24, but I was here in September so this was fine. For €35 I consider this a good deal.

“Good winter Deal”

We spent two nights at the Tortosa Parc Hotel, the room was clean and functional unusually there were no Tea or coffee making facilities in the room, the only complaint was that the lift always stopped at the 3rd floor, even when no one was using it. Breakfast was continental.

No matter what I put in my satnav I could not find the address shown in Booking.com. After nearly twenty minutes searching and asking various people, including two taxi drivers, I eventually found the hotel. No matter what I put in my satnav I could not find the address shown in Booking.com. After nearly twenty minutes searching and asking various people, including two taxi drivers, I eventually found the hotel. The address on the street sign is “Carrer Comte Bañueulos” (Catalan) and this is a problem I had as I continued my journey through the region. I parked outside, went up the very steep but grand marble staircase to reception where a pleasant and very efficient young man booked me in, gave me a car park space in their garage next door and recommended a few restaurants nearby. Apart from a strange tiny double door “wardrobe” which had no hanging space, the room was fine. The hotel is well located, a minute’s walk through a lovely park to the promenade along the Rio Ebro and a short stroll into the historic old town, passing some elegant shops on the way. Breakfast looks good on the Booking.com photos but I only have a croissant or tostada and coffee in the morning so before I checked out I had a stroll round the old town then went back the bar round the corner where I had my previous evening's nightcap. Apart from the initial inability to find the place and the rather cold and wet weather, I had a pleasant stay here
