“Finca Valbono, home away from home.”

I am working in Spain and stay at Finca Volbono for two months already and will reach three months when I leave. I will return for another period in October. If you are looking for a quite and beautiful place to stay, this is the place. The self catering apartments are amazing to stay in, they have a lovely pool and restaurant on the property with good food. Blas and Monica and the team make you feel welcome and pay attention to their customers needs. I am looking forward going home every evening. Shops are quite close and yet returning after an evening out you're away from the town in a quite tranquil environment. I will recommend this place to anybody. Anyone travel to Spain and especially the small towns and villages will realise quickly you need to be able to speak a bit of Spanish to get around, at Finca Valbono they speak English as well this made it so much easier for me.

This was my 4th visit to Finca Valbono with a small group of UK walkers and our Leader Lynne (Nordic Walking Fit, UK). There is much description of Valbono on Tripadvisor and accurate photos. Suffice to say it still offers a warm, friendly welcome. I wondered if the Covid pandemic had changed it but am pleased to say it still felt the same. The Managers and staff are very good. For us hopeless Brits with only rudimentary Spanish there was never any problem making ourselves understood. We had a couple of very wet cold days and it was a real pleasure to come back to the roaring log fire in the lounge. Nice food too, although the Restaurant may not be open every day. Best to check.

My third visit to this lovely rustic hotel with a group of walkers organised by Nordic Walking Fit, Dorset. Others have described the hotel and rooms so I won't repeat that. Suffice to say I will go back. The service is second to none. Monica and Bass the Managers speak good English and cannot do enough to help. I prefer the rooms in the main Building but families may prefer the spaciousness of the "bungalows" in the grounds. It has a lovely large swimming pool which is kept very clean, although not heated. It is a little walk from the main building.
