“Lovely place for birdwatching ”
Wonderful hosts at this hotel. Sadly we did not sleep here as they were fully booked, but we stopped for coffee and the owners went to a lot of trouble to explain where best to see lots of birds. “Great service, bargain price”
Almanzor is a very nice hotel with spacious rooms close to the nature reserve of the Serra de Gredos which is absolutely great for walking. “Perfect location”
We stayed at this hotel as part of a Spainbirds trip. The location is perfect for the area. As an added bonus there is a bird hide in the motel. The food was wonderful. The floors were a little squeaky but overall I enjoyed my stay.

“Superb stay for birders - friendly hosts and excellent value”
We stayed only one night on a stopover to bird in Monfrague NP. We were unlucky with the weather as it snowed. But our hosts more than made up for it. Lolly is a great cook, and they offered a great value package for breakfast and dinner. Her salad was the best we tasted in our 10 days in Spain… more
