We booked this holiday relatively last minute due to a change of annual leave and wanting to join my family on their holiday to Gran Canaria they stayed in a nearby hotel. The staff are absolutely amazing and go above and beyond, we only made it to breakfast twice (we paid for b&b) but it was wonderful, really good selection of food especially for me as I’m a picky eater. The pool bar and the pool staff was great, the cocktails are one of the highlights, really nice and not watered down like you get as some hotels, the food was hot and delicious and not badly priced at all, they really put in a 110% effort. The reception staff were really helpful also and spoke very good English, they got our room ready promptly as our flight landed at 11:30 and wasn’t meant to check in till 3. This is the first adults only hotel I’ve stayed at and it’s bliss, so peaceful, everyone was friendly and didn’t seem stressed, it was a really nice place if you want a chill and relaxing place and your only a few metres away from a super market and the yumbo centre which has Burger King, loads of the markets in, loads of restaurants and bars at night. The only thing I’d say is that the rooms could do with a little update, they were very clean but quite old, I was a bit concerned at first but when I got here it didn’t bother me in the slightest, for the price I cannot complain, definitely more of a 4star as appose to a 3 star. Would recommend staying here and will likely come back in the future.

I stayed at The Don Miguel for 19 nights from 16th June to 5th July and as a solo traveller I enjoyed my stay. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. I booked half board and had a twin room with pool view. The Hotel is very clean and my room was very comfortable and had a good sized balcony plus a free safe to use. I found the breakfast selection of food to be very good with plenty of choice. The evening meal also had a good choice of food to suit all tastes. The pool was a very good size and there were plenty of sunbeds available. The pool and its area was kept clean and tidy. I will definately be going back to stay at this hotel.

Have just returned from 4 nights at this hotel, was slightly concerned before we arrived as had read the other reviews some of which were negative : am happy to report the reviews did not reflect our experience at this reasonably priced hotel. All areas were clean, the staff were friendly and helpful, evening entertainment was great, bar prices reasonable, never had any issues getting a sunbed at the pool and the daily DJ music that someone likened to an "Ibiza Rave" was more like having the radio on in the background loud enough to hear but not annoying, Our room (425) was spacious, cleaned every day with a good size balcony. Did not make it to breakfast but everybody we spoke to said the food was good, hot and plentiful. The hotel location was great 20 min walk to beach or €4 in a taxi which were always waiting outside the hotel, opposite the Yumbo centre with lots of bars and restaurants, if you are looking for an amazing meal then there is a steak house opposite : Would return and recommend this hotel

I recently stayed at Don Miguel, and overall, I had a great experience. The location is excellent, especially if you're looking to be close to the action. It's right around the corner from the Yumbo Centre, making it very convenient for shopping and nightlife. The beach is about a 20-minute walk away, which is a nice stroll if you enjoy a bit of exercise. The reception and pool areas are highlights of this hotel. Both are very modern and have a fantastic vibe that sets the tone for a relaxing stay. One thing I particularly appreciated was the availability of sun beds. No matter what time of day, we could always find a spot, even though some guests did reserve them despite the hotel's policy against it. As an adults-only hotel, Don Miguel offers a wonderfully chilled-out atmosphere. This was perfect for us as we were looking for a relaxing getaway without the usual hustle and bustle. However, there is room for improvement. The rooms and walkways could use some updating to match the modern feel of the reception and pool areas. A little refurbishment here would really elevate the overall experience. We only booked breakfast during our stay, and as we're not morning eaters, we didn't partake much. However, the few times I did try the breakfast, it was quite nice. In summary, Don Miguel is a solid choice for those looking for a well-located, modern, and relaxing stay. With a bit of updating to the rooms and walkways, it could easily be a 5-star experience.
