Location is great, on the site of one of the old city gates so it is close to the sights. On the other hand, there is a busy junction outside so you need to keep the window closed. Location is great, on the site of one of the old city gates so it is close to the sights. On the other hand, there is a busy junction outside so you need to keep the window closed. Some rooms have a nice view of the cathedral. I found the younger members of staff could be coaxed to smile, but the older man and woman who were usually on reception would barely acknowledge your entry or exit from the hotel. The brekfast buffet was fine for us, and the young woman running it on her own worked hard. Nice courtyard to sit in with a glass of wine or beer.

We had a great one-night stay at Hotel San Polo in Salamanca. The price-quality ratio was excellent, offering good value for money. Although the rooms were a bit outdated, they were still acceptable considering the price. The hotel's central location was a major plus, and it was easily from the nearby parking areas across the river. The convenience of being in the heart of the city made it easy to explore all that Salamanca has to offer. We would recommend it for its affordability and convenient location.

We stayed two nights as part of a tour and cannot comment on value for money. Room comfortable and clean if rather dated. Quiet at night. No tea/coffee making facility in room. No lounge or bar area to socialise except the outside courtyard which often seemed used for functions. Breakfast entirely adequate. The whole experience would be much improved if any member of the staff knew how to smile!

We stayed here for 2 nights as part of a group tour so cannot comment on value for money.The location is excellent with beautiful view of cathedral from our bedroom window.The room,whilst spacious ,was spartan,could do with some furniture being added.The bathroom soap dispensers were functional but reminiscent of a public toilet!The breakfast was average,the coffee unpleasant,and woman running the room was surly! The location makes this hotel,and it wouldn’t take too much of an effort to improve things!
