Great location Very close to the Plaza mayor - almost opposite it. A 20 minute walk from the main train station so do not bother with a taxi unless you have to. Very good value - I paid only 54 euros for a double room with en suite...v good for June and for where it is located. Super room in fact - very good bathroom - lots of hot water, fluffy towels etc. My room - 303 on the 3rd floor - yes it does have a lift / elevator - had a great balcony looking towards the old town and the Plaza Mayor. Breakfast for 3 euros was a bargain - a decent and simple buffet. I had toast with tomatoes and olive oil, orange juice, several glasses, and a coffee. There were croissants, yoghurts too. Staff were friendly. I think it would be hard to beat for location, quality of rooms at the price. Recommended!!

The Renfe train station a short walk.

“It's a great location and we had a view room.”
It is very clean and secure. The staff is very nice and tries to be helpful. No coffee maker or frig. Bed is excellent, with good sheets and all. Towels, thin, but fine. It is very clean and secure. The staff is very nice and tries to be helpful. No coffee maker or frig. Bed is excellent, with good sheets and all. Towels, thin, but fine. Bathroom, marble, and just fine. The view is pretty fine, but there was a festival going on at Plaza Mayor and it was so loud, we had to keep the windows and shutters closed, so we didn't get to enjoy the view much. We had to turn on the air conditioner to drown out the noise from the festival, but it was not the hotel's fault. The breakfast was not that good, but worth 3 euros. The coffee was just fine, and yogurt and juice, but the bread products were of the lowest range. Salamanca is a very fine destination.
