We recently stayed in these apartments in Potes. The main plus is the location. The apartment was very central in the town and made exploring very easy. The pool is a real bonus and although it isn’t big, we often had it to ourselves. Everyone was very friendly and we felt well looked after. The main downside was the noise level. The walls are very thin and we had a few disturbed nights with a baby through the wall. Obviously this could not be helped but worth being aware of if noise would bother you.

When you arrive don't be put off by the narrow roads, what look like pavements are roads to access the apartment. Parking outside is limited but there is a car park on the road above which is free and only a couple of minutes from the apartment. First the positives. We had apartment 13 and it had a lovely shaded terrace. A washing machine is a real positive when going walking and staying for a while as it gives you chance to wash your gear. Location is great, just up the road from a few bars and close to the centre but set off the main road , so no car noise. Swimming pool is also a plus when it is hot. The staff are friendly and take pride in the appearance of the complex, constantly sweeping up the leaves that fall from the trees around the pool. Free wifi is also available. Slight negative that there is no normal kettle but I'd read other reviews so we bought a travel one with us. Slightly bigger negative; there is so little storage, we actually booked a 2 bed apartment, having read the reviews, to create some storage and ended up leaving half our clothes on the second bed as there was no storage at all in one of the bedrooms and just one wardrobe in the other. The reason we cannot rate it higher is the paper thin walls. We felt like we were sharing the apartment with other people most of the time we were inside, as you can hear so much through the walls, including snoring on the first couple of nights and a crying baby for the last four. The noise isn't limited to raised voices, normal family conversation can be heard. I appreciate we live in a quiet environment at home with no children and no neighbours attached but we really don't think being able to hear conversations through the walls is acceptable and it's a real shame because the apartment is otherwise one we would come back to.

6 guys, 6 motorcycles. Thirsting for great beer, great food, great roads, these apartments were an ideal base, though secure parking is limited - 2, or at most 3 bikes, first come, first served. Within 100 metres of the nearest watering hole and eaterie, and dozens more in walking distance. Great roads on the doorstep. A pool on site, with sheltered seating/ loungers. (Handy. We were there with temperatures in the mid-to-upper 30's). We had 2-storey apartments, 2nd floor and attic. Downside was a lot of stairs to get out (38+), and more (34) to get up to the pool. Upside was, you could get a good breeze through with the Velux windows open in the attic, which also afforded views of the area. Downside - no kettle. Upside - very comfortable bed. If you speak no Spanish, in-house communication will be a little tricky; if you have a smattering of the language, and maybe a phrasebook, you'll manage well enough - the staff are only too keen to help. Overall, a very pleasant stay, which we hope to repeat.

Second time in Potes but first staying at this accommodation. Building is lovely in a great part of Potes old town. Pool area is a huge bonus and apartment reasonable size . That said it was a little bit tired and needed some attention to detail especially the bathroom where there was mould stained tile grout and a loose shower screen door. The kitchen area had very little items to cook with and all the knives were so blunt you could not cut anything with them. I know it is self catering but usually places provide adequate toilet rolls etc which this didn’t. Finally I recommend throwing away other people’s used and filthy pot scourers and not leaving them for the next guests. Trust me no one wants or uses these so supply fresh clean ones or just leave the accommodation without one Staff very friendly

There were 6 of us in our group so we booked 2 4 bed apartments. The location is lovely, it is so close to an abundance of little restaurants, cafes and shops, lots of pretty buildings and mountain's in the distance. On arrival there was no on at reception so we had to wander about and wait, the management speak no English so be prepared with a few Spanish words. When someone eventually arrived we collected our keys and went to our rooms. The rooms were basic and a little tired, only 1 bedroom had a wardrobe (plus only a few coat hangers) so storage was a bit of an issue. The general cleanliness was okay but the lampshades were very dusty and the bathroom shelf was very wobbly and things kept sliding off. The apartment was supposed to be self catering but there was no oven, no grill, no toaster and no kettle, there was also very limited cooking equipment so actually preparing a meal would not have been easy. If we had been able to eat in we would have had to sit at a bench/breakfast bar and eat which would not have been very enjoyable. The apartments had very thin walls so we could hear conversations in other apartments as well as having to listen to other peoples 'morning routines'. There appear to have been a group of very noisy students thundering up and down the corridors regularly which didn't help. There were 4 stools at the 'breakfast bar' and only 2 seats in the main area which is not really sufficient for 4 people to relax in the evening so we were forced to eat out every day. All in all we had a lovely time as the area is stunningly beautiful and there are some beautiful walks and rides in the area. In summary, it was a lovely area but I would not revisit these apartments or recommend them to my friends. They were without a doubt 'okay' and could have been so much better has they been properly equipped and looked after.
