“Short break in Malaga”

Very comfortable hotel with excellent facilities and helpful and friendly staff. Nice position a short stroll over the bridge to the market and then beyond.

We both really enjoyed our stay, the staff are friendly, hard working and very accommodating. The breakfast provided is vast and lots of different options are provided. The food we ordered as snacks or dinner was really lovely food. The bar and lounge were also very relaxing. We highly recommend a stay here if visiting Malaga, the location is great for the old town, the quay and the markets.

I liked my stay at this NH. Its location is pretty central - just across the bridge from Malaga Centro Historico. I also liked the fact that the hotel is located right on the riverwalk (the river was completely dry, by the way), which gives some good views of Malaga from the rooms. There are many shops, cafes, and restaurants close to the hotel; plus, one of the major train stations - Málaga María Zambrano - is also very close. With a small piece of luggage, you can easily walk there, or a taxi ride would take only 5 minutes. The hotel’s building is in very good condition. The lobby level, which includes a big restaurant area, is very beautifully designed. The hotel, in general, was ideally clean during my stay. My check-in went smoothly. I arrived at the hotel around 11 a.m. One of my pre-arrival requests was to prepare my room earlier, and luckily, they took care of it and let me check in at 11 a.m. with no extra charges and no waiting time. The front desk staff were pretty friendly and helpful in general. I got a Standard Room on the 2nd floor. My room (#214) was kind of tiny for 2 people, but my partner and I felt comfortable in it. The room was designed in a classic NH style; it was ideally clean, and all the furniture was in good condition. I liked having a big long window that gave a lot of natural daylight to the room. Also, it was possible to fully open it and have fresh air in the room. Even though the room was on the second floor, I still had a pretty city view facing the riverwalk and Old Town Malaga. I could obviously hear noises from the street when the window was open, but when it was closed, the room was pretty much quiet. From the inside, the room was not well soundproofed, to be honest. I could hear many noises from people walking back and forth in the hallway, as well as from housekeepers cleaning every morning. I liked that my room was divided into 2 sections by a door - a little hall with access to the bathroom and the bedroom. The hall had a big closet, a refrigerator, and a little section to make tea/coffee. The bedroom had a big soft chair, a workspace table, nightstands on both sides of the bed, and also a big mirror. The TV was small and outdated, unfortunately. There were 2 Twin size beds put next to each other, and they were very comfortable, as were the pillows. The bathroom was designed very nicely - I liked a lot the mix of green and grey marble. The shower stall was big, and the shower worked perfectly. The bathroom amenities were standard NH stuff, and I am not a big fan of their smell, to be honest. Wi-Fi was fast enough during my entire stay. I paid €140 per night for my room, and I find this deal slightly overpriced for the generally basic quality of my room. I have stayed in much nicer NH hotels around Spain where rates were not more than €100 nightly, including in major cities like Barcelona and Madrid. Anyway, finishing up my review, I absolutely recommend this NH hotel for a stay in Malaga. It would be a very good option for a short stay or a long stay as well.

This is a lovely hotel. Clean modern rooms, lovely bar and excellent extensive breakfast. Location is just a short walk to the old town and cathedral. Only downside was that the pool and deck was limited to winter opening times in April (12-6pm) and the pool bar was closed throughout despite it being sunny and busy on the rooftop area.
