“Great location, cool rooms”
We came with a large group and were instantly accommodated. This is a well run hotel with very comfortable, clean rooms and excellent AC, a must in summertime Madrid, in whose heart it is nestled, a warren of great eating places encompassing it, all within a reasonable walk to the sights and museum… more

A great little hotel! For me the location is the selling point for this hotel, it is slat bang in the heart of Madrid. “Worlds most uncomfortable bed in a very good location.”
Sadly during my 3 night stay I endured no sleep due to the bed. I can only compare it to sleeping on an ironing board or a desk. Even when I asked for a topper of some kind, the comfort wasn’t created. Worst sleep I’ve had in years. The hostals location was excellent and the room price was economic… more

“Nice location, rooms need upgrade”
The hotel location is in the heart of central Madrid. They have a lovely rustic design school house lobby, and library. However, the single rooms are very small and need upgrade, peeling wall paper, doors are low grade and stick, bathroom is small, uncomfortable, bed is hard and so are the pillows… more
