“Great stay!”

We had a great night stay here in December. The hotel staff is outstanding- very well trained. Restaurant manager and server Chantrel stood out- both friendly and helpful. The car service was also a nice touch and the Concierge directed us to a great Italian restaurant. We will stay here again..

This is an absolutely excellent hotel in every way. The facilities are all that one would want in a hotel but what makes it one of the best is the attention to detail by the management and all members of staff. They are all willing to help with whatever they are asked (from provision of items forgotten to recommendations for places to visit and restaurants). The only slight downside is the speed of the wifi (I never spoke to them about it as they would probably have fixed it given our experience with everything else). One of the days we were there was my wife's birthday and she was treated as a queen. Every member of staff congratulated her at various times of the day (and also afterwards). It is really central and convenient for visiting all tourist attractions. This was our first time in Madrid. Whenever we return we will certainly stay at this hotel again

Gran Meliá Palacio de los Duques is a truly spectacular hotel that offers a luxurious experience from the moment you arrive. The friendly and welcoming staff set the tone, ensuring a smooth check-in process enhanced by a delightful welcome drink. The hotel staff went above and beyond, assisting with our luggage and even providing a secure storage option as we explored the beautiful city of Madrid. The hotel’s location is incredibly convenient, placing you within walking distance of numerous attractions. During our winter holiday visit, the nearby Christmas market—just a block away—was a delightful highlight. Most destinations are accessible on foot, though the surrounding area does include a few gentle hills, so comfortable shoes are recommended. Despite its central location, the hotel provides a peaceful retreat, free from city noise, ensuring restful nights. The dining options are exceptional. Breakfast is a must-try, featuring an impressive array of offerings to suit all dietary preferences, from personalized French and Spanish omelets to delicious avocado toast, complemented by fresh-squeezed juices and a wide selection of fruits. For lunch, Jardín Restaurant showcases the best of Madrid’s culinary traditions, using local ingredients to create unique and flavorful dishes. Highlights include fried pig ears and a rich tripe, paw, and snout stew—each dish artfully presented and bursting with flavor. A special mention goes to Paula, an outstanding restaurant leader whose attentive, kind, and friendly service made our dining experience unforgettable. Her warm personality and genuine care for guests set her apart, and I am confident she has a bright future ahead. Valentina and Francisco also deserve recognition for their leadership, fostering a team dynamic that is both professional and collegial. Thank you to the entire team at Gran Meliá Palacio de los Duques for a fabulous stay. I will most certainly return!

Marta, Dennis, Jordan, Dona, Alex, Carlos and some other names, incredible service, especially Marta, she is unbelievable, thank you for your amazing help, great service and always with a beautiful smile, thank you from the bottom of my heart, my family is the most precious thing and you have been great with all of us, thank you again!!! I don’t give this hotel the 5 stars because of Cristina, she is not friendly and her services is nothing compared with the rest of the staff: The building and rooms with the red level is amazing and I highly recommend it. For sure will be back to this place soon!
