Simple mixed hotel-hostel in an old building. Very polite desk-service and very clean rooms with air-conditioning. Amazing location, right next to the Cathedral. Simple mixed hotel-hostel in an old building. Very polite desk-service and very clean rooms with air-conditioning. Amazing location, right next to the Cathedral. Rooms facing the main street might be noisy (as expected). Parking might be an issue, you can ask at the reception for the nearest free parking zones. We found one 5-10 mins away but maybe we got lucky.

“The BEST layover of our Camino!”

We are walking the Camino de Santiago Frances and made sure we had a short day coming into Leon. How perfect as we got to enjoy this beautiful room looking right out at the Cathedral! It was incredible to be able to open our balcony doors and listen to the bells and people below. The room was very comfortable and the bathroom was great. Nice linens and towels. Check in was easy. The nice desk clerk held our backpacks for us since we arrived early until our room was ready. The value here is unbelievable. Our room felt 5 Star to these two weary Peregrinos!! I highly recommend. Buen Camino

“Albany”
This hostal is conveniently situated near the cathedral. I found service staff in Leon generally unfriendly and that was true of reception staff at this hostal. The room was clean and modern. There are cafes and restaurants located nearby.

“Great Accommodation”
The Albany Hostal has a great location close to the cathedral. The rooms are well appointed, stylish and spacious. Highly recommended. Unfortunately the Pilgrim Menu is not available until 8:30pm. The Albany Hostal has a great location close to the cathedral. The rooms are well appointed, stylish and spacious. Highly recommended. Unfortunately the Pilgrim Menu is not available until 8:30pm. When the target market is the Camino Pilgrims who have walked since dawn and will do so again the following day an 8:30pm start for dinner does not work. A pilgrim’s dinner at 8:30pm is a contradiction in terms. What a shame the menu looked good.

“Decent value hotel”
Clean small rooms in town centre. Good Camino starting point. Decent , if limited, food options. Close to all amenities , Centre and cathedral. Recommended for a short stay or transition hotel. Very good.
