“Fine, but basic”

Had a room with a terrace which was nice, but probably used by smokers. Breakfast was a bit basic, but then, this was not an expensive hotel. Not a buffet, they served us from the buffet. Good location near town.

“Value for money, city centre”

Everything is average here, but it is good value. I paid 58 euros incl breakfast. can't really argue with that when they are fighting to survive like most other businesses. My room was quiet, the a/c worked well and also the shower. Parking is offsite at 16 for the day. Walk to centre is 7 minutes.… more

“Modern budget hotel let down by breakfast”

I stayed here for 5 nights whilst on business in Jaén. Though it's close to the bus station it's all up hill from there but walkable although some may struggle with large luggage. I stayed here for 5 nights whilst on business in Jaén. Though it's close to the bus station it's all up hill from there but walkable although some may struggle with large luggage. The cathedral is not too far. Check in was quick and easy having pre booked via Booking.com where I got a discounted rate (cheaper than booking direct on this occasion). I had a room on the top floor in the attic space with a small balcony. It was roomy enough, clean, quiet and functional but lacked a fridge or kettle and laundry service but I was told there's a laundrette not too far as well as a supermarket. The air conditioner was excellent. The bathroom was a large effective walk in type. After an initial problem with the wifi this was rectified by logging into a different network within the hotel and was very good. Unfortunately breakfast was very poor with little choice (apart from half a dozen different olive oils and salts!!). Each morning I had to specifically ask for milk for cereals as it's not laid out and I'm sure the Spaniards don't eat their cornflakes dry (or with olive oil :-) ) The service is understaffed with just one person to replenish, serve and clear up. I normally look forward to breakfast but not here. Across the road there's a very good restaurant with a nice and varied choice as well as an English menu. The location for me was not convenient and breakfast sub standard so probably wouldn't stay here again.

Depends on the room you will have 1 bed of 1,35 or 2 bed of 1,10 ... from my point of view the rooms with 2 beds are better and bigger, and the price is the same. The location is the best of the hotel, by walk is in about 5 min, very close to the sight and bars. I invite you to go out to take the breakfast, Jaen in very cheap and you can go to a terrace with a good weather to enjoy with a 'tostada de tomate con jamón' and a coffee ( 3 - 4€). Very close to the hotel you can find a place called 'El botijo', calle virgen de la capilla, totally recommended for the breakfast.
