“Great hotel!”

This hotel was extremely clean, staff was very friendly. In a small town about 10 minutes from Jerez de los Caballeros. The restaurant was great! Everything we needed for a nights stay on our road trip. Would recommend staying here if you want a quiet, rural, Spanish experience.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is a quiet and relaxing place. Only spent one night, and this proved to be a nice place to rest. Just know this hotel is a little ways from the center of Jerez de los Caballeros... if that is your intended destination. Although, it's probably an easier place to stay if you are driving, instead of having to deal with parking over night in the town.

The Hotel is located in a very rural area, it was easy to find, our check in was somewhat difficult, mainly because we had arrived later than expected, due to the lime change. There were no staff when we arrived, there was a number to call, we were given a code to let ourselves in and our key was there waiting for us. We were notified shortly before our visit that the hotel restaurant was closed for staff holidays, there are no cafes or bars in the local community so it was a case of having to drive to the nearby town of Jerez de los Caballeros for food ( very little open especially on a Monday!). There was a honesty bar in the courtyard of the hotel, with beer and various soft drinks. There were some other guests though we never saw them. It felt a bit spooky. It was like the place was closed but they let us stay. The first morning after arriving there was a lady in the reception area. She was very helpful with directions to the city and where the best place to park was. The room was spotlessly clean everything working and in good condition. Our only complaint was the shower door would not close properly with a gap at the bottom so the bathroom floor got wet.

Our one night stay at the hotel didn't start very well. When we arrived (after a rather hair raising drive down a narrow country road from the town) the door was locked and there was no one to be seen. I called the number posted on the door and the person who answered said they would track down the front desk attendant and call me back. I never heard back but my wife pounded on the door and, to our surprise, the attendant showed up - he was enjoying beer and cigarettes with a friend in the courtyard and obviously never heard the phone ring (as it did when we were waiting). So, we were then led to our room - a family room with a double and a single bed. It was very spacious with a small but clean bathroom. The room was sparsely furnished but nonetheless comfortable (even though the only place to sit was on a bed) and extraordinarily quiet (no surprise given it's location). Breakfast is not included but can be had in the nearby restaurant. Note: No one speaks English at the hotel.
