We stayed for six nights in an adapted room at this excellent hotel. I use a small mobility scooter to get around so access and disability friendly staff are important. We were able to park near to the entrance in one of the two disabled parking spaces which made life very easy. Then there are ramps into the hotel and two lifts to the rooms, which never took long to arrive as there are only two floors. There are some rooms on the ground level but ours was on the first floor. There were a few snagging points for me with the room access-wise even though it was an 'adapted' room. The shower didn't come down low enough and whilst there was a small stool it may not be adapted enough for some disabled people. More the problem for me was that the sinks were really high, I was able to get round this by borrowing a step from reception but I think a wheelchair user would struggle to use them comfortably which is a shame as they are clearly trying here! Our room [145] had a nice balcony with moveable table and two chairs, plus a small drying rail which was handy. It has a sliding door so you need to be able to get over the sliding door threshold. It was blazing hot in the morning [great for drying towels and clothes] and shady and cool in the afternoon [perfect for a cup of tea]. Whilst it overlooked the car park rather than gardens it was actually nice and quiet and pleasant to sit out there. Speaking of tea there was no kettle in the room but we were able to get one from reception, I had already brought travel mugs and teabags and we got a jug of milk from the breakfast bar which we could store in the minibar. My husband loved the minibar purely because the drinks were well priced rather than being the rip off that they usually are, this meant he regularly had drinks [namely beer and coke] from it whereas normally we would never touch minibar drinks! We only had one lunch at the hotel - Spanish tortilla and salmon/avocado salad - both were nice enough. At breakfast there's a good selection of yoghurts, fruits, pastries, meats/cheese, juices, as well as bread and hot options. It tended to be quiet by about 10am. We did have a tuna tapas, and the mango, coconut, chocolate flowerpot pudding in the La Vermuteria bar, both of which were very tasty, the pudding in particular! There are ramps to and hoists for both the indoor and outdoor pools; we only used the outdoor pool which was fabulous. It's set in really pretty, immaculately kept gardens and whilst there's the usual obsession with getting the sunbeds by the pool we actually preferred the ones on the grass around the gardens. Access-wise there are ladders into the pool but there is also the hoist if needed, plus two lots of steps with a handrail which is what I am able to use. The pool was a perfect temperature for out visit - July, with temperatures probably in the late 20s or early 30s every day. The hotel is very well placed if you want to go and see the How the Andalusian Horses Dance show at the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art - a mere six minute walk away - we weren't actually going to go to this but a couple of people recommended it and I'd say it's worth seeing. The whole experience is perfectly wheelchair accessible. Our favourite places to eat were Restaurante Albalá just around the corner from the hotel - the picante prawns are divine - and Bar Juanito in town - don't miss the smashed burrata here. I don't think I've ever known my husband to say he would return to a hotel but he said he WOULD return to this one, so high praise. It really was fun [big screens in the various bars for the Euro 2024 matches], friendly, pretty and so relaxing. At 657.12 EUR for six nights including breakfast for two people it's absolutely great value for money too.

“A very comfortable hotel in a beautiful town”

Hipotels Sherry Park is an excellent, extremely comfortable hotel. Situated within easy reach of the old town of Jerez it provides a perfect base for travel in the area with very good food and facilities.
