We stayed in the Beatrice Suite! And it was truly Italian from end to end with green velvet drapes, a purple velvet bed board, and the fresco domed ceiling was great! The bed was comfortable, the DOMO was not far at all and the staff was great! Don't expect the typical hotel when you choose the Hotel Cavour. It's a fun surprise you shouldn't miss.

“Fantastic hotel in the historic center of Florence”

My sister and I stayed at the Grand Hotel Cavour in early October 2024 and had a fantastic experience. The hotel is superbly located near Florence's city center, just minutes walk away from the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Ponte Vecchio, and other favorite sites. Upon arriving, we were impressed by the elegant lobby and friendly, helpful desk personnel. Our room was small, but clean and comfortable, with comfortable beds. I found the temperature of the room a bit too cool and could not get the heat to come on, but an additional blanket was provided immediately upon request. The front desk was always receptive to our needs and willing to spend time making recommendations and providing detailed directions. A full breakfast was included in the price of our room (we booked through a travel agency so they made the arrangements). The dining room was incredibly beautiful and the breakfast was astounding and delicious, with everything you could possibly desire, including champagne! It was simply first rate. There is a rooftop bar; the drinks were pricey but the view was worth it. I would stay here again for the service, friendliness, location, & breakfast. The pros far outweigh the "cons of small room and the noise from the street at night.

We had the pleasure of staying at The Grand Hotel Cavour in Florence, and we highly recommend them for your next trip. We were NOT expecting the hotel to be as nice as it was. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, the rooms were beautiful, with a great view from the 5th floor, the roof top bar was more than we were expecting, with an absolutely spectacular view, and the breakfast buffet was great. We will definitely stay there again when we return to Italy, hopefully next year.
