My husband and myself stayed at marquis portago in Granada for 7 nights. It was a clean spacious apartment with all the facilities. The only problem was we had to check in at another hotel which is called marquis urban a few minutes walk from the apartment. Staff were very good and helpful but on the last day one of the girl on the desk actually refused late check out at 2pm. That was very disappointing as our flight was in the evening. Overall a nice apartment in a good location with shops and restaurants within 5 mins walk.

“We liked it”

This is a one bedroom suite in an urban environment. Wonderful location which is within walking distance of many sights. Great restaurants nearby. Furnishings are “modern” and sparse, but comfortable. Great bed. Some of the reviews are correct: no coffee maker, no parking, no reception area.... more

This is a one bedroom suite in an urban environment. Wonderful location which is within walking distance of many sights. Great restaurants nearby. Furnishings are “modern” and sparse, but comfortable. Great bed. Some of the reviews are correct: no coffee maker, no parking, no reception area. This is more of a VRBO or Air B&B than a conventional hotel. However, we found this to be a wonderful, conveniently located place. We enjoyed our stay, and recommend it.

“Excellent location, but noisy and hot”

Marquis Portago is excellently located - within 5 minutes walk to the main shopping street of Granada. It is located on Calle San Matias, which is quite a main thoroughfare despite its narrowness. Marquis Portago is excellently located - within 5 minutes walk to the main shopping street of Granada. It is located on Calle San Matias, which is quite a main thoroughfare despite its narrowness. Our apartment was located on the second floor, with 2 small balconies where you can watch the going ons down below. The streets around this area are very charming with lots of interesting old buildings. As a result of the above, the apartment is quite noisy at night. If you have a car with you, the cark park is about 10 minutes walk from the apartment. The car park itself is quite an experience, with really narrow corners and spaces - a problem if you have a big car. Note also the reception is not in the same building as the apartment. There is only one air conditioning unit in the apartment which is in the main living area. When we were there, the outside temperature soared to above 40 degrees celsius, so the air conditioning was nowhere near sufficient to cool the rooms down. Noting the age of the building, the pipes in the bathroom are a bit smelly as well. There is a good sized kitchen with all the utensils you need including a microwave oven. There is no dishwasher, and our toaster did not work.
