After reading a review by someone from Buxton- I am originally from Derbyshire, so knew i could trust the reviewers honesty.His review did not disappoint :I had done lots of research before booking the hotel. Yes it is a 2 star on Easy jets site but it suited use to the ground. My mother does not need frills due to being registered blind. The room was comfortable- as with all places pillows can be comfy, i'd take my own next time but i'm fussy about pillow comfort. We could not fault it. In essence the hotel made the holiday more successful. Around the are are lots of places to walk to- just wish we were their longer. I will definitely use this hotel again if I go back to Granada. The location is just behind the main road, so very quiet. There is a lift so accessibility no problem. The front desk staff exceptionally helpful, great English too. The breakfast is taken round the corner at a local bar- great place, best food for breakfast we had in Granada- discount offered to. The churros and hot chocolate were amazing. We caught the airport bus to Granada- stop is a 10 min walk from the hotel. We used the bus on the return to, it was busy so be aware it may be full. The bus company coincides it's service to the city with arrivals and departures. The airport is small so this is ideal. The cost as a few euro's. Take the bus rather than a taxi if you're on a budget- worth it. Don't hesitate to book this hotel if you intend to be out most of the day, want clean, comfortable, friendly centrally located accommodation.

“Great little hotel”

I stayed for two nights in Granada Centro, it is a very nice small hotel close to the centre. The room was small and comfortable. The aircon worked very well and is needed in the summer heat. All the staff were very friendly. Wifi worked really well too. Cafe Ugarit around the corner does lovely... more

I stayed for two nights in Granada Centro, it is a very nice small hotel close to the centre. The room was small and comfortable. The aircon worked very well and is needed in the summer heat. All the staff were very friendly. Wifi worked really well too. Cafe Ugarit around the corner does lovely breakfasts with great coffee. I really enjoyed my stay in Granada and this hotel was perfect. Granada is a beautiful city, all the main sights are only a few minutes walk from Granada Centro. Thanks to all the staff and hope to see you again one day.

“Everything you need in a perfect location”

We've just returned from a seven night stay at the Granada Centro Hotel. We were in a room on the third floor, overlooking the narrow street on which the building is situated. For a two-star rated hotel, this place offers pretty much everything you could need for an enjoyable stay in the city centre. Our room was a decent size, there was ample wardrobe space, a TV (which we didn't use) and air-conditioning - the latter essential in Granada in summer. The room was very quiet, we heard no noise from the outside of the building and both slept very well. The bathroom was also a good size. The shower was over the bath and was of good quality and reliable - hot water, strong water pressure. The bath/shower was enclosed by sliding glass screens. The eco-shower gel was not very effective (didn't lather) and we had to buy a large bottle of cheap gel locally which worked much better. Both rooms were nicely decorated, perfectly clean and the beds were made and the room serviced every day by housekeeping. You do have to request a kettle in the room - oddly when we first asked, the woman on reception refused and said we had to come downstairs to make a drink. We asked a different member of staff afterwards and they happily provided us with a kettle for the duration of our stay without any problem - this is how it should be. Aside from the strange matter of the kettle, the staff at the hotel were consistently friendly and always willing to help or provide advice. The housekeeping staff were also friendly and welcoming. The hotel is ideally situated for several local bars and restaurants, particularly if you turn right exiting the front door and follow the narrow street in the direction of the cathedral. There is a discount voucher provided for an acceptable breakfast at Ugarit, a cafe a few minutes away in the opposite direction, but to be honest we had nicer breakfasts at several other nearby places for pretty much the same price anyway: try Taberna Tacon Flamenco or La Picateria - the latter's a bit further away but en route to the cathedral and other "tourist destinations" and worth returning to later in the day for tapas or a full-on meal. With its central location, the hotel is great for exploring the city, its history and attractions. The Alhambra, for example, is only 25 minutes or so away on foot. The stop for the bus service to the airport is a few minutes walk away on Calle Gran Via de Colon, the main street that runs roughly parallel to that of the hotel, and several other local services can be taken from stops along this road too. In conclusion, we were more than happy with our stay at Granada Centro Hotel. The staff there do a great job and its location worked brilliantly for exploring the city. It will definitely be our first choice of accommodation when we return to Granada.
