I thoroughly recommend a stay here. For a birthday present we stayed for two nights. From the start ( booking via WhatsApp) staff were very helpful and quick to respond, during our stay polite and welcoming. The room we were in was the Dahlia , beautiful. The private garden and pool was clean and tidy (even in November) The bed had two postcodes and was very comfy !! The log fire was made up every day ( just strike a match). A lovely touch was the air con already on so when you first arrived the room was warm and cosy. Breakfast for two was generous and high in quality. Congratulations to the owners - you have a great set up 👏👏

So we came to this hotel from Valencia and it was such a reprieve of peace and quiet and lots of room to park your car!!! Cova (daughter of the owner) ran out to the main street to help guide us in (it's easy to find-they are just that helpful)....Cova is sooo lovely and speaks more English than she gives herself credit for. Her mom and aunt who own this haven are lovely too. I can't say a single thing bad about this hotel....in fact, when I return to Spain, I would drive out JUST to stay at this hotel. Cova's aunt makes the whole breakfast herself and it's delivered to your door-enough food to feed 6 people. I walked away from the main road and crossed a bridge and found a beautiful park like setting with trails-great walking. The only possible complaint I could begin to consider is that there isn't much to do in the evening except drive into Cuenca....so just bare that in mind ie. don't book if you are travelling with a bunch of busy teens. This is SUCH a nice haven from the busy streets of the cities of Spain and would be a nice place for a little romance if that's what you are looking for. FANTASTIC!!!!

What a fabulous place! Lovely and peaceful country setting, rustic, massive sitting room and kitchen (and you get to use the fridge), there's a billiards room, and so many things of interest to look at indoors. Self check-in before arrival and actually getting in are a bit of a faff if you're not feeling very with it, but well worth it for the low cost (& a friendly staff member came to my aid anyway). Comfy bed (quite wide for a single) and small but perfectly adequate ensuite bathroom.

This accommodation is about 10 minutes outside Cuenca, but provides easy access to the area if you have a car. It is a quiet location apart from the occasional large dogs barking at neighbouring properties, but this was not a problem. Unlike most hotels this comprises several individual detached units. They are all named after flowers and we had one called Jazmin. Because of this, on arrival you don't go to a reception, there is a high locked vehicle gate. We pressed the bell several times and also phoned the number we had, but got no response for quite some time. Eventually the gate opened and we were met by a guy who turned to be the only member of staff we saw throughout the whole 3 night stay. We think he had been having a snooze! Anyway, he was very pleasant and, not unsurprisingly, spoke only Spanish. He familiarised us with our room and left. The room was very nice with a bedroom, living area with a log burner, bathroom, jacuzzi and garden. Our only criticism was that it was a little dated e.g. the paintwork and upholstery, and needed freshening up to be classed as luxury. But everything worked properly, the air conditioning, the jacuzzi, the wifi, the shower etc and we had everything we needed. There was also a small cabin with a vending machine near the entrance. There is nothing to do in the immediate area so you need to make your own entertainment. At the end of the road is a pension with a bar and nighttime restaurant (San Cristabel), but it looked a bit grotty for our liking. Alternatively there are many fine eateries in Cuenca including several recommended in the Michelin guide. An ample breakfast was delivered by the same guy on a large tray to our room at the prearranged time each morning in Spanish style. Our main complaint was that our room was not serviced on our first day. There was no apology or refund offered, instead a rather feeble excuse about our stuff being left around the room and the cleaner not daring to touch it! In our experience of travelling to 90 different countries around the world this has never happened, except perhaps during the Covid pandemic for obvious reasons. There was nothing to stop any cleaner making the bed, cleaning the bathroom and jacuzzi, emptying the bin and sweeping up. The next day it was done. Having paid €125 per night we expected better. Anyway we didn't let this spoil our stay and we absolutely loved visiting the main attractions in the old town and also the national park which was even more incredible. For food we can recommend Olea Comedor, Raff San Pedro and Restaurante Casas Colgadas.
