“Quirky place”

We found this through booking.com and were very pleased we did. Two night break and a very quirky place. Moorish Moroccan decor throughout. Huge walk in shower in Room 2. Very comfortable extra large bed. The room was dark but in keeping with the whole interior design of the place. Bright in the bathroom though. Spotlessly clean. Free tea and coffee in salon. Free wifi. Rooftop area. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Parking for 12euro per day, ask at reception or on booking, right in the central location, outside the front entrance. Could not have been better for everything around. Fab restaurants,bars,coffee shops, bakeries. The people are lovely too. Very very reasonably priced restaurants and shops, a lot cheaper than the coast, expected it to be expensive being a city. Would certainly recommend and return.

Liked · We were given a choice between room 8 on the first floor or room 3, a room at the back of the hotel on the ground floor. Room 8 had an outside window, overlooking the street and room 3 had an internal window, opening into the central courtyard. We chose room 3, as it contains the most enormous - and comfortable - old 4 poster bed. The room was quiet. Although the bathroom was large and wheelchair friendly, a wheelchair user would struggle to negotiate the 4 poster bed in order to actually access the bathroom. Parking was available in a garage across the road, although there was only room for 3 or 4 vehicles and it was a very tight squeeze. Disliked · The room could have used a little attention. The drapes around the bed were hanging down in places and were not completely clean. The bed itself was broken in places and creaked alarmingly. A used lolly stick was under the bed. The room was quite dark due to the dark wood furniture and the lack of natural light from the internal window. The room did not have a fridge or a kettle, both of which would have been very useful.

Spacious room with black-out shutters which aided a good night's sleep. Big bathroom, too. A couple of lights were not working but, even if they had been, the room was still very dark. Not light enough to be able to see properly. However, it was pleasant enough for one night. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking is a bit of a challenge. We paid for the private parking which is in a garage opposite the hotel. You leave your keys at reception and they manoeuvre the cars as and when customers need them.

“Quaint and convenient”

Visited in May which is a very popular town. Calle Lineros is a very narrow street in "old" Cordoba. Visited in May which is a very popular town. Calle Lineros is a very narrow street in "old" Cordoba. The hotel is a classic enclosed courtyard building so some of the rooms overlook the narrow and quite busy Calle Lineros. Try to avoid rooms 7/8/9. We had room 7 which had a king-size bed and a pair of tall wooden drawers. There is hanging space and the bathroom has a good size shower. There is a small parking garage opposite but it is very tight - I just got a Renaul Clio in! However, there is public parking at "Parking La Ribera" about 150M away. No breakfast provided bit I recommend "Breakfast Club & Co" on Calle Lucarno. See separate review.

In a very convenient location near to both places of interest and restaurants. Room was rather small and with no external window was rather dark. In the description for the hotel in *large print” it states self parking - in the “small print” at the bottom it states 12 euros per night, I thought that this was a bit misleading as this added more than 30% on top of our final bill.
