“Best spot great price”

Beautiful, nice, simple hotel in the heart of the city. Price was Fantastic. For the price we paid you couldn’t do better. Clean, firm bed…. City center! Heart of the city Close to absolutely e everything, not need of cars. Ambiente. Gastronomic.

Good bits: Lift. Comfy, firm beds; modern bathroom, good shower, plentiful towels; air con; generally clean. Own ‘plastic card’ for front door. BEST bit: just steps from Playa Mayor and its people watching cafés in the evening (hefty G&Ts). Minutes from Cathdral and little tourist train. And very close to restaurants/tapas bars in Calle San Lorenzo etc. Conclusion - four of us, aged 57 to 77 all coped just fine. For about €50 per room per night in mid August and last minute booking (we got last two rooms) couldn’t do better. We chose to have breakfast in the Playa Mayor but could have had simple one in hotel

“Like Real Estate: Location, Location...Location!!!”

This hotel is so close to the cathedral that you almost don’t have to get out of bed to go to “Mass”. Really, I mean that. The Cathedral in all its glory is almost next door. You are just also just minute from Plaza Mayor. Heck, you are close to pretty much everything. So if the location of where you are staying is high on your list then look no further. We good the highest room in the hotel. Pretty much up close to the cathedral bells however it had an advantage in that it was very private and quiet except for the bells which did sound extremely nice. The room was a little odd in that it didn’t have any windows but had three skylights to try to make up for no windows. Luckily for us it also had electric blinds on the skylights so that you could shut out the bright sun when needed. The room was clean and after getting used to the lack of windows actually worked OK for us. We didn’t spend much time in the room. The price was high because we were here at the start of Easter Week when prices rocket. At other times the price is likely quite good from what I could tell. Because of this ideal location we found that we got to see everything in Burgos quite quickly then we could just spend time in the various plaza’s just soaking up the atmosphere and the sights. Our favourite plaza was in front of the cathedral. We just couldn’t get enough of how majestic it all looked.

Paid for a single got a small twin. Sleeping area would have been 'cosy' for 2 but the ensuite was huge. Central location. Very helpful and cheerful staff. Drivers be aware La Paloma is a pedestrian street. It took 30 mins of driving around and a very patient spanish driver's explanion before I realised. Park under Plaza Mayor - htl stay gets overnight discount- then 2 mins walk. WiFi is fast . 7 , yes 7 nozzles+ overhead and hand held shower heads.
